April 30, 2018
Hey Y'all,
Me and Elder Braithwaite have had a good week. I was asked to give a talk in Sac meeting yesterday and we have exchanges this week and I have 2 months left. Woe. Anyways here's the week.
WEDNESDAY- so today we went up to Bessemer and had district meeting and it was a bit different. Transfers were a week before and we were the only ones who didn't get transferred. So we had lunch at zaxbys and then we went with the Ensley guys to help this lady clear out her house so she could start moving. So we emptied a fish tank and then we took boxes out to her car and then we left and we saw a huge power plant and so we took pictures and then we went home and helped members set up for new beginnings and then we met with our Ward mission Leader then we went home.
THURSDAY- this morning started out rough, we both woke up with stomach issues and so we took it easy and then we felt better around 2 or 3 and then we went and tried to see this person Lea but she wasn't home so then we tried to see this Bible referral but he wasn't home(avoiding us). And then we went to dinner with some members who just moved in. They're the Kemps and sister Kemp surprisingly knows my Uncle Cory. So it's a small world. Then we went to basketball that night and then we came home.
FRIDAY- So today we went out at 3 again and we tried seeing this person but they weren't home so we went to the church and did some family history and then we went to a dinner appointment with Cory and then we tried to go see a less active but on the way there they canceled and so we went and did family history and I prepared my talk. Then we came home. I've also been keeping up with the Jazz, lol they're doing good.
SATURDAY- today we went to the church to get my talk prepared and like wow I can't believe how much my I'm like my ancestors it's crazy. I'm doing my talk on Family History and sharing stories from my ancestors. Some are wild. Lol then we saw this investigator William and then we went home because we both were really exhausted.
SUNDAY- today was a good day. We went to church and I thought I was gonna give a 30 min talk but it ended up being a 20 min talk. Cause this lady was supposed to talk on the power of the Book of Mormon but she spoke of Christs resurrection and death and the new testimony and she kept on going and going and going. Lol. So I gave mine and then we had the rest of church then we went home and then we went to dinner that night and then we tried seeing some people then we came home.
MONDAY- so today were going bowling at 1 with a couple and two other sets of missionaries. One guy thinks he can beat me (he won’t). And then we have a dinner appointment tonight. We’re trying to see some less actives tonight. We have exchanges on Wednesday and Thursday. Zone Conference is Thursday. We’re seeing Lea tomorrow. She's a difficult person to get a hold of. That's about it.
Our baptism from last week has been sick this past week. We're gonna meet with him prob on Thursday.
Love to hear about the week mom! Can't believe it either, we've (you) made it this far.
My talk went really well I wasn't that nervous either. Watch when I get home and give my homecoming talk, you won't even know if it's the same person. I mainly shared stories of my Family but I had read this as well, you might like it. It's a Conference talk from 2010.
When I think of the love I feel for each member of our family, I sense, to a slight degree, the love that our Heavenly Father bears for His children. While the family is under attack throughout the world, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints proclaims, promotes, and protects the truth that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children. “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” and our vast family history efforts are but two evidences of how this Church brings hope and help to the sacred institution of the family.
We teach that God’s love for His children is infinite. Regardless of race, nationality, or gender, He loves all of them. He has done so from the beginning and will continue to do so. He invites all to gain eternal exaltation for their family. His work and His glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life—the exaltation—of His children. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The Atonement of His Beloved Son enabled both of the Father’s objectives to be fulfilled. Without the Atonement, there would be no immortality. Without the Atonement, there would be no return to the presence of the Father and no continuation of the family beyond the grave.
Because of the Atonement, these consummate blessings can be realized by each of God’s children who obey His eternal laws. Through the ages, many of His children have had access to the blessings of the gospel, but many more have not. Before the foundation of the world, our Heavenly Father instituted the ordinance of baptism for those who die without a knowledge of the gospel. He loves those children too.
He also provided a way for them to be part of an eternal family. Every human being who comes to this earth is the product of generations of parents. We have a natural yearning to connect with our ancestors. This desire dwells in our hearts, regardless of age.
Consider the spiritual connections that are formed when a young woman helps her grandmother enter family information into a computer or when a young man sees the name of his great-grandfather on a census record. When our hearts turn to our ancestors, something changes inside us. We feel part of something greater than ourselves. Our inborn yearnings for family connections are fulfilled when we are linked to our ancestors through sacred ordinances of the temple.
Yeah somthin in me has got me going with family history. I think it's the genes from Grandpa Webb, he was big with it.
Well that's the week everyone. Hopefully your week is filled with chocolate and candy! Love y'all! THE CHURCH IS TRUE AND THE BOOK IS BLUE!

April 24, 2018
Hey Y'all,
This week was the best week of my mission. We had a Baptism on Saturday and it went very well. The Spirit was felt the whole time. Me and Elder Braithwaite were asked to be witnesses for the baptism and I was asked to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. So I'll tell y'all more about that in the week. So here's the week for y'all!
TUESDAY- Today was a more tired day. Me and Elder Braithwaite got mainly no sleep and so we took naps during the day to get some energy. We went to an Aldies so Elder Braithwaite could get some groceries. I'm tellin y'all when I go in stores, I get all kinds of looks! The good, the bad, the ugly. Lol. So then we went and got a car wash and then we went and tried to see some less actives/investigators but they weren't home. So we got dinner and went to the church and did family history then we came home for the night.
WEDNESDAY- Today was the same thing we didn't sleep well. We tried going to bed earlier, but that seemed to make us toss and turn that night. I slept better but my comp didn't. So then when we both felt better we went and tried to see this person Lea but she wasn't home. Ugh. So then we went to our Book of Mormon class and we read out of Alma and then we gave a blessing to this girl who had 4 wisdom teeth taken out. I could relate to her cause I had 4 taken out as well. So then we played Human Foosball. That was fun, except when you’re the big guy you get hit a lot with the ball. Lol. Then we went home.
THURSDAY- Today we tried to go see that person Lea again but she wasn't home ugh. Then we went back home and Elder Braithwaite took a nap again. This week has sucked sleeping wise. We just seem to always fall asleep at the 2am or 3am spot. Ugh. So then we went to the church for basketball with Gavin. And so we played and I mainly scored. Lol. Then we taught Gavin and then he left and we did some family history and I found my first lds ancestor. He was back in the 1850s he lived in England. He was an outdoors man. (I love the outdoors) so I guess that where I get loving the outdoors from. Lol.
FRIDAY- Today was a drag. We tried going to bed earlier yesterday but the same thing. We both have no idea what's goin on. But were still trying our best at getting up on time. So today we went to the church and got ready for Gavins Baptism and we got the program ready and set the church up and then we did some family history and then we tried seeing Lea but she was leaving her home and so she said she'd call us. So then we went home and Elder Braithwaite and I tried to get some extra sleep that night.
SATURDAY- Today was the BEST day of my mission! I finally got to witness one of the investigators we taught get baptized. We went and saw this guy Tommy and so we read the scriptures with him and then we went to the church and we got ready for it we studied for our talks. Elder Braithwaite gave the one on Baptism and I gave it on the Holy Ghost. So then Gavin came and before he got dressed he played some basketball to prepare. Lol. Then we started the Baptism and when Gavin came up out of the water he was so emotional and he hugged his Grandpa (who baptized him) and they spent about 30 seconds in the water. I even got teary eyed. It was somthin to see. So then I gave my talk and I read a passage from a talk by David Bednar (I'll put it at the end of the email) and then after our mission President came up to us and said y'all should be professional spokesmen. Lol. We laughed and we hugged Gavin and he said he felt the Spirit a lot. Truly a great day for all of us. Then we went home and got dinner and went back to the church and talked with some members and did family history then we came home. A member made me an Aggravation Board as well! (If y'all don't know what that is, it's a Chinese game and it's kinda like Sorry. But that's why it's called Aggravation cause it gets you aggravated lol.) I will remember this day for the rest of my life.
SUNDAY- Today was a better day we woke up better but still tired and so we went to church and it was raining a lot then a member who was supposed to speak didn't show up so I bore my testimony and we had Gavin confirmed a member as well. It was awesome. So then at the end of priesthood this guy who was teaching always jokes with me saying" look at this guy brethren, he played Lacrosse which is a waste of talent. He should've played football". Lol. So the topic of what he was teaching was revelation to choose what to do. So after he made that comment, I told him this " Well see I had to choose between football and Lacrosse so I prayed and God told me to play Lacrosse" there were ooooooooos in that class. He was like good one lol. So after I had people coming up to me saying that was pretty funny. Then we went home and took a power nap then we went to a members for dinner and then we tried to see some less actives but nothing. So then we went home.
MONDAY- So we slept terrible again and so we mainly stayed in till about 3 and we tried to go see that person Lea but nothing so we went to Wal-Mart and we got some things and then we went and saw less actives and we shared some scriptures and then we went and did family history and then we had dinner and then we went to the church so I could look up some referrals then we went home.
TUESDAY- Today we went to a doctor's appointment up in Birmingham then we went to the Temple. This was the last one that I'll be able to go to on my mission. I LOVE the temple. Then we went home and emailed and then we tried to see some people but nothing so then we went home.
So that was the week. Here's the talk I used in my talk on Saturday I really liked it.
The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead; He is a personage of spirit and bears witness of all truth. In the scriptures the Holy Ghost is referred to as the Comforter (see John 14:16–27; Moroni 8:26), a teacher (see John 14:26; D&C 50:14), and a revelator (see 2 Nephi 32:5). Revelations from the Father and the Son are conveyed through the Holy Ghost. He is the messenger for and the witness of the Father and the Son.
The Holy Ghost is manifested to men and women on the earth both as the power and as the gift of the Holy Ghost. The power can come upon a person before baptism; it is the convincing witness that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, sincere investigators can acquire a conviction of the truthfulness of the Savior’s gospel, of the Book of Mormon, of the reality of the Restoration, and of the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith.
The gift of the Holy Ghost is bestowed only after proper and authorized baptism and by the laying on of hands by those holding the Melchizedek Priesthood. The Lord declared:
“Yea, repent and be baptized, every one of you, for a remission of your sins; yea, be baptized even by water, and then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost. …
“And whoso having faith you shall confirm in my church, by the laying on of the hands, and I will bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost upon them” (D&C 33:11, 15).
The Apostle Paul made this practice clear to the Ephesians when he asked:
“Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
“And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
“Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
“And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them” (Acts 19:2–6).
We have district meeting tomorrow, meeting with Gavin for his New Member lessons and setting up for new beginnings. Also seeing a lot of referrals on Thursday. That’s about it.
Yeah it’s getting hot. It’s rained the last couple of days. We haven’t seen Alice that much, it’s weird. We text her when we go over but the last couple of times we didn’t have the chance too.
I’m keeping up with the jazz as well. They’re doing good, just less fights. Lol. They need to be cool. It’s hard but they don’t need to be jerks like OKC. My comp likes Russel Westbrook. Lol.
I’m feeling mixed about getting to the end. Scared but excited to come home. But that’s got nothing to do with me sleeping. Something is just wacky. We both aren’t getting that much sleep for some reason.
Some groups get to go to the temple on their last night in the mission but my group is too big. At least that’s what I’ve been told. There is going to be 29-32, lol. A lot.
Well mom I gotta go but I love yall, stay safe and always remember I’m praying for you!

April 16, 2018
Hey mom!!
No we didn’t make it through the tornado and died and I'm talking to you as a spirit. Lol! No we survived and it wasn't too bad, it just rained a lot. Lol.
They pushed Gavins Baptism to next Saturday at 3. We were actually in lockdown for a while with a tornado watch. We tell people here we want to see one up close but not be in its path and people here say NO YOU DON'T. Lol. But Gavins still doing well. I'll send you a pic of us standing next to him. And we also got transfer news. In case you didn't know we are both staying in Jasper. Probably the best news I could get on my mission so far. Lol.
TUESDAY- Today was a busy day. So we got up a little early and went to Birmingham for Elder Braithwaite to go to the doctor. They increased his meds. Which the meds were the ones making him sick. So now they increased it. Lol. So he's still sick a lot. Then we went to taco bell with the Ensley Elders and then we went to district meeting and we got there a little early so we threw the football around and everyone was sayin that for a big guy I had some nice catches. Lol. Then we had the meeting and then we went back to Jasper with our district leader and he interviewed our investigator Gavin and he passed! So he's set for his baptism this Saturday. Then we went home changed and we went and did some yard work at the Eppersons and then they fed us and then we went home for the night.
WEDNESDAY- Today was a fun day. So we went to Cullman Alabama and did service with the sisters there. We were doing service on a farm and me and Elder Braithwaite were digging holes to put fence posts in (I've never put a fence in so I was nervous.) Also the guy we were doing it for looked at me and said you look pretty responsible. That added to the nerves. The others were doing stuff around the farm. So we finally put in the fence and then we learned the guy had a call for his cows to get them to come. So we thought that was pretty funny. Then the guy (Matt) asked us if we could come back so we said we'll see. Then we went to the church for Coordination and then our Branch mission leader took us out to eat then we went home after that.
THURSDAY- So today was a slow day. So today Elder Braithwaite got up feeling sick so he took it easy and I did other stuff. And at about 3 he started feeling better so we went to the post office so he could send some stuff off and then we went to see a referral Lea and she was pretty interested. She looked at the Book of Mormon and was like 'this is so much easier to read than my bible. Lol. So then we said a prayer with her then we went home and changed and we went to basketball and we taught Gavin about the Laws and Ordinaces of the Gospel. Then we shot some hoop with him and let's just say I dominated. Lol. Then he had to leave and nobody else was here so we just did some family history. I'm getting pretty good at it.
FRIDAY- So today we mainly were at the church the whole day. We cleaned the font and filled it up and we set up chairs and did the Baptism program and Gavin came with his Grandpa and we practiced with him and then he wanted to shoot some hoop and so we did that for a bit then he had to go so then we went home for the night.
SATURDAY- So today we got up early and we went to Cullman to finish up the farm service and so we got there and he told us what we were gonna do. So guess what, we got to herd the cows into a stall and it’s a lot easier said than done. Lol. So then we got them in and then they all had to go in 1 by 1 to get tagged and get this stuff put on their backs. I was in charge of putting them in the stall and I'm not kidding at one point I was kicked by a baby calf. Lol. I was trying to get him in there by yelling and I pissed it off. Lol. It didn't hurt though. And then we finished and then we put them back out in the pasture and then we went home for our baptism. It rained on us to it was pretty muddy and cow crap was everywhere. Lol. So we got home and showered and Gavin’s dad called and wanted to reschedule the Baptism due to bad weather. So we are having it next Saturday and we get transfer calls tomorrow so I hope we stay! Then we stayed in for a bit so we could get cleaned up and then we went to the church and cleaned up some stuff and then we went and got dinner and tried to find some people but all it just turned into us teaching slammed doors. Lol.
SUNDAY- Today was a great day. We went to church and had a branch council and there's a guy there that always likes to talk about Lacrosse and so he always jokes and tells me "here's a great offensive lineman who wasted his talent by playing lacrosse" haha. Then elder Braithwaite gave a talk and then I said the closing prayer. But I didn't know there was an intermediate hymn. So I went up early. Lol. Members were texting me stuff like “too early slick" haha I laughed. And they laughed. Then we taught primary about the restoration. And then we went home after that. And elder Braithwaite was pretty tired so we took a "power" nap and then we went and saw some less active and then we went to a members and had dinner there and then we got our transfer news were both staying. Best news I could get. Lol. Then we came home for the night.
MONDAY-Today were gonna go do laundry and email and then we will find out what were gonna do. But were planning on seeing some referrals tonight. We’re going to Alice’s later if she texts us back. She hasn’t yet.
That's my week mom. I'm fine, I'm not hurt but I can say I got kicked by a calf. Lol. Don't worry.
I was thinking about grandpa on his birthday. He makes me laugh and I think my personality is like his a bit, just more mormon. Lol!
How’s dads leg? Is the fluid gone?
Now working for Riverton City in the parks and recreation would be a good job. I’d like that. I'm just stressing about what I’m going to do when I get home. Cause what I'm hearing out here is that I’m gonna need money if I want to date. Lol. JK but that's what I've been thinking about. The thought of coming home excites me but mostly scares me. Also I need to figure out how I’m gonna get my bike home. Lol.
Lol!! Why are you making fun of my plaid shirt and shorts? I like that shirt, it's a good one to do work with. I got it from Elder Morley. Green Lumberjack shirt, lol. Keeps me from getting sun burned too. Yeah but I don't wanna get pants till I get home. Plus it feels good, not too hot and not too cold.
LOVE YOU FOREVER!
Elder Webb

Hey mom!
I'm doing great out here! We did have another Tornado and don't freak out, But it was right down the street from us at 2am. We were asleep. Alice texted us to make sure we were ok. But yeah. Not really much damage but a papa John's sign blew away but that was about it.
Yes the 12 year old is still on Baptism date for this Saturday at 3. He's doing very well and we taught him the Restoration, plan of salvation, Gospel of Jesus Christ, the law of the fast and tithing, and the law of chastity. We are going over at 630 tonight to teach him some laws and ordinances. We're really excited. His grandpa Bro Fernandez is going to baptize him. Gavins dad is less active and so he can’t do that for him. I’m giving a talk on the Holy Ghost. He is the kid who is as tall as me and wears size shoe 16. I wear 13. I’m average compared to him. Lol. I'll make sure and get pictures.
Haha yeah it sounds like there's nothing going on back home. But a lot has been happening here. Here's the week.
TUESDAY- So today we got up and we went with Alice Manning to Margins to get some plants and pine straw and then we went to Arbys and got some lunch and then we went to Alice's and put pine straw down and we put plants in. We took rocks out and we did that for a couple of hours. Then we came back home and showered and then we went to teach our investigator Gavin about the plan of salvation then we went to the bakers for the rest of the night.
WEDNESDAY- so today my comp was feeling really sick so we mainly stayed in for most of the day. Then when he was feeling better we went and taught Gavin the Word of Wisdom. Then we went to the Church for Book of Mormon class and then after we locked up the Church and came home.
THURSDAY- Today was like yesterday, Elder Braithwaite was sick again. And this was basically the whole day. I felt bad for him. I did everything I could to help him feel better. But he just had a massive migraine. It gets kinda boring for me but I just look at my pictures on Facebook and read scriptures. So then at night we decided to go to basketball and Gavin was there along with Phil and Bro Fernandez. Phil is a member here. The members here like us to call them by their first names. (They call me Kaden sometimes.) So we played on the line, around the world and 21. I won the last 2(around the world and 21). Then Phil got us pizza and then we locked up the Church and we went home.
FRIDAY- Alright 3 months left! My mom can't wait. Haha. So today we went up to Gardendale for a zone Conference and there was a seventy Elder Klibengot who came to the mission. So the day before he had a zone Conference with the other half of the mission and so in this one he started off asking what other missionaries said about him. And one raises his hand and says THEY TOLD ME YOU WERE A COMPLETE SAVAGE! Haha. He's like really well that's a first. That's going in my journal. Lol. He was really straight forward. At the beginning he said if you get offended at me, that’s your problem. Like when he was taking any questions, one missionary asked about Moses and his translation. And he responded saying "Oh that's cute but I don't think that's gonna help with missionary work". So then that went on till 5 and then he had to go then we went home and had dinner and then we went to the Church to do some family history.
SATURDAY- Today we spent the whole day over at Phil and Brookes helping them clean for their daughter’s birthday party. So we cleaned under the couches, we mopped, swept and I cooked burgers and chicken with Phil. Then the party came and then before we left Phil wanted to play aggravation (board game) so we played that then we left and went home for the night.
SUNDAY- Today we went to church and I passed the sacrament with some young men and then we had the rest of church. Then we went to teach Gavin the law of the tithe and the fast and the law of Chastity. We are having our district leader come on Tuesday to interview him. And then they fed us some lunch and then we talked with his grandparents about his baptism and then we went to the house and I took a nap. I had a headache then my comp woke me up and we went to Phil and Brookes for dinner and then we came home.
MONDAY- This morning were going to go help some people move a bed and then we're gonna email and get stuff from the store, do laundry and we are teaching Gavin tonight at 630.
We just helped move a bed then we had to do laundry. Wednesday were probably going to go help the Cullman sisters (Gilbert) with a less active guy who needs help with his farm on Wednesday. We are also going to have our district leader come and interview Gavin tomorrow.
I've had some requests to bear my testimony as well so here y'all go.
This is what I got out of my notes this past Conference. Man you are complaining about sweat? I guess it’s not as bad as when I sweat my blood for you. Your Feet hurt from walking? I guess its not as bad as when I had Nails driven through mine. Your Hands blistered from today? I bet that hurt, but I think nails driven through your hands wouldn't be as bad. My advice is don't complain. The Savior had it The worst out of anyone.
I have a testimony that the Savior lives and loves each and every one of you. He knows YOU and he's the only one who knows what you go through, he's been in your shoes. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God. He restored the TRUE church back to the Earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I've tested it and I KNOW FOR A FACT that it's true. I bear my witness with you in the Sacred name of our Savior Jesus Christ Amen.
THANKS MOM!!!!! LOVE YOU.

HEY MOM!!!!!!
My week was great. We had a district meeting and we did that service for Jacksonville. Oh and were teaching this kid named Gavin. He's 12 years old and he's got the height like me. I think he's taller than me. He also wears size 16 shoe. I wear 13. Lol. But he's got a baptism date for the 14th of April so we hope he's prepared for it. His dad is a less active and his mom is not a member but she's ok with it. His parents are divorced and his dad has custody of him. They think he will let him. He needs all 6 lessons and he needs to be interviewed. His dad has to sign some papers.
The Jacksonville project. Yeah I saw the pictures you posted on Facebook. I had no idea that they took those pics. We were tearing out trees and more trees. It was unbelievable. In Utah you only see the destruction of a tornado on tv. But when your there in person and you see the people, it’s a whole lot different. We worked from 6am in the morning to 5pm at night. We were so tired. When we were doing it this one guy gave me a nickname called Haus which means Animal haha. But yeah there was a baseball field there and a 30ft bleacher had flown across the rd and was in the trees. It was one thing I will remember for the rest of my life
I LOVED THE EASTER EGG!!!! I didn't expect that at all. It took me awhile to get it open though. Lol. All the tape and stuff. But I was very thankful for it. I thank all of y'all. Y'all are the best. Elder Lewis once told me. "Cherish your family Elder Webb. Cause not that many people have a loving, caring family like you do. Always remember that". Those words made me know for a fact that God is aware of me. He put me in the perfect family. I love y'all.
Here's my week. I'm writing this on my phone so hopefully the spelling will be good. Lol.
TUESDAY- So we had district meeting and we all got a long really well. They had me impersonate this guy that one of my past comps told me about and I had people dying almost falling out of their chairs laughing so hard. Haha. Then we went to lunch and then we came back to Jasper and a less active called and she said she had an Easter surprise for us. So we went straight over there. She wasn't there but her husband John was there. He was really funny. He even thought me and Elder Braithwaite played football together. Haha. But the surprise was a cake and a basket full of stuff for us. Then we went to Wal-Mart and then we went to the Church and did some family history.
WEDNESDAY- Today we went to teach this 12 year old guy named Gavin. His grandparents lived in Nauvoo Alabama yeah there's a place in bama called Nauvoo. He's 6 4 and has a shoe size that's 16. I'm 13 that's crazy. We taught him at a members and they fed us and then we waited for Gavin to get to the house then we taught him the restoration. He's a cool kid I'll tell ya. So then we left and we went to Wal-Mart and got some Easter eggs and then we went to the Church and put 2 pieces of paper inside that said" without Christ there would be no Easter" and then one piece that said Mormon.org. So we did that for awhile then we helped clean up from the Easter primary thing then we went and placed some eggs around town. Then we came home.
THURSDAY- Today was a great day we went to the Church and met Gavin and his grandparents and so we taught Gavin about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the restoration video. This guy is so solid. He read and prayed and he described his feelings and they were on point. We also set a bap date with him for the 14th of April. Then we went to Chick Fla with them. And then we went back to the Church so elder Braithwaite could post something and then we went home and changed and then we went and played bball at the Church then we came home. We're starting a bball night at the Church here.
FRIDAY- So today we stayed in most of the day. Elder Braithwaite was feeling like total garbage and so I just let him sleep. I read my scriptures and wrote in my journal and watched some church movies and at about 4 he came out and he looked a lot better. So he got in the shower and then we went to the Church for some family history and then we went and placed some eggs again. Then we went home for the night. I felt bad for him. He's had a sickness maybe you know it. Where he gets headaches a lot and they last for the longest time. And when he had his doctors appointment the pills that he takes involves him getting sick as well. So he's just in a bad spot. President knows of his illness. He has a nurse that's helping him, he's going back on the 10th and we will see what happens. He doesn't tell me a whole lot about it. He's not talking I know that for sure.
SATURDAY- So today was a big/tiring day. We got up at 330 in the morning and we went to Anniston for the tornado clean up. A week ago the high council asked for some volunteers for cleanup and they said missionaries were invited. So we went with Brother Prestrige. So then we did the clean up and wow. There were trees everywhere and tree trunks ripped out of the ground and tops of buildings ripped off. House with no roof. It was a sight to see. I had a nickname down there named Haus (Animal) because I was ripping so much tree LIMBS and really heavy ones. There was also a bleacher on a baseball field which had flown across the street and went into the trees on the other side of the road. It was a 30ft bleacher. Then we went home we stopped at Jack's and then Bass pro then we got home at 730 and showered and then we went to bed. Lol.
SUNDAY- Today we went to the Church and we watched General Conference. It was us and 2 other members. And I was just blown away with the changes but that's a good sign God is hastening his work and we are seeing it. There was also a lot of energy at this conference. I LOVED it and President Nelson seems like he's a pro at doing this stuff. Lol. So then after conference we stayed and watched some talks from yesterday and then we went and saw William and Brittney (some investigators) and gave them a restoration DVD and then we came home.
NICE that Ashlyn made the cheer team again! GOOD FOR HER!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow on the kitchen remodel. Y'all are just changing things back home!
I'm drinking a lot of water and I need to cut out eating out a lot. But I do NOT want to be put in a biking area. I did it for a year. That's my fear right now if I get put in a biking area.
It doesn't matter if we email family on the phone or on the computer. As long as you use email it's fine.
Lol, you’re making fun of my clothes? So I had no pants (too small and I can move a lot more with shorts). I wore a long sleeve shirt because I didn't want to get a sunburn. And guess what I didn't. Elder Braithwaite and Standifird got hammered with a sun burn.
We're going to see the Mannings today she said we can come today. She's been really busy with her son and family.
LOVE YOU!!
Elder Webb
Here’s a thing that a missionary sent me. It is in his weekly email. haha I even use most of these words. haha
So I figured that today I would teach y'all some southern vocabulary because I haven't really done that yet. Even though Alabama is in the US it has a completely different language and different terms and words. So ladies and gentlemen, this is some of what I have learned on my mission:
Billfold: Another term for a wallet
Y'all: You+All
A'int: Are+Not
Y'aint: Y'all+A'int
Finn'a: The ghetto pronunciation of "fixin' to" which means "I am about to do something
Over yonder: Over there
Precious: Pathetic --for example "oh jimmy just ate some dirt, isn't he so precious?"
Buggy: A shopping cart
M'am and Sir: Terms of respect. Don't call a man a "m'am" or a woman a "sir" because it is embarrasing for both of you.
Bless your heart: Definitely NOT a compliment-- if somebody blesses your heart it is not a good thing
Coke: Any kind of soda
A Switch: Something like a branch or a belt that would be used to beat a child for being naughty
Slap ya mama: A delicious cajun spice brand that goes well on almost any food
I Reckon: It think so
