I’ve been doing a lot better this week. I’m still struggling with things but it’s getting better. Me and Elder M are getting along better. We laugh and joke around a lot more. He is from draper UT. His house is by the point of the mountain.
MONDAY- today was P day and when we got home from emailing I asked Elder Matthews to give me a blessing of comfort. After he gave me the blessing it’s like I had the best night of this transfer. I had the spirit with me and I felt at peace. We went and tried to see some investigators but some weren't home and some were home. We had a great night. We laughed and told stories. Best night.
TUESDAY- Today started off really good. We went and saw this guy Derick who is an investigator. We taught him about the Book of Mormon and then after we went to Walmart to get some things and then we went back to the apartment and had lunch. We went and saw Breanna and Michelle. Breanna is a recent convert and Michelle is her friend who is interested in the church. We talked with them for about 2 hours and then we went to our dinner appointment with this couple Josh and Hailey. Hailey brought a friend from work who wanted to know about what we believe. We taught him the restoration and then we went on our splits. I went with Brother Roberts and we had a bad night, only saw one person and just shared a scripture with them. Then we went home and Elder Matthews didn’t have any luck either. Then we called it a night.
WEDNESDAY- Today was the big worldwide missionary broadcast. You can watch the missionary broadcast on lds.org for more details. They changed our schedule a bit. We now plan in the morning and p day starts at 830 instead of 10. Then after the broadcast we went on our exchanges with the zls. They changed that also. We now go with the zone leaders to their area and split there. We went to taco bell and had lunch and then we all went back to their apartment and unpacked and then we split off. I went with Elder Smith, a spanish elder. Out of that night we only saw 3 people and just shared a scripture with them. Then we went back to the apartment and all 4 of us had a great night. Our zls live about a half an hour away.
THURSDAY- Today we got up and went to the gym with the zls and then went back and had german pancakes. Then we talked and then they dropped us off at our apartment. We went and tried to see some people but they weren’t home and so we went to get me a haircut at this place called Cuts by Us and the lady that was cutting my hair knew I was a missionary and she asked me how many wives I was gonna have. I was very nervous but I said one and she was like oh ok then. After I got my haircut she randomly asked me if I was a virgin. Quickly I said yes. She was like oh ok you’re not even ashamed of that. Lol. Then after that we went to sonic and I got a strawberry lemonade then we went back to the apartment and weekly planned and then we went to our dinner appointment. We went and tried to see the Jenifer family, a catholic family of 10, but they weren't home so we went to Walmart and then went home.
FRIDAY- Today we went to the church and taught this guy Chris who should be baptized but he’s on parole. Then we went back to the apartment and then we went to help this guy move some boxes out of his truck and then he took us to chick fil a for lunch and then we went back to the apartment and had a long good talk about back home. Just got to know each other. Then we went tracting but we found nobody and then we went to dinner at the Lees. Their son who is 19 and daughter who is 13 were really interested in basketball and I talked with them for so long. Then we had dinner which was barbecue and then we went home and ended the night.
SATURDAY- We tried to tract in the morning but no luck again. So we went home and had lunch and then went and tracted for a while and we had a catholic minister tell us “I HOPE THE HELL YOU FIND SOMEBODY WITH NO RELIGION.” Then shut the door it was so funny. Then we went to the Biggs home for dinner. He’s our bishop. Then we went and saw the Jennifer family and had the best lesson ever in weatherly. That lesson had the strongest spirit and it was a cool discussion then we came home.
SUNDAY- Today was really long. We went to church and it felt like 5 hours. We went and tried to see some people but they weren't home so we went to a dinner appointment. The persons house was disgusting. They had pets which were ok but the house was so unclean. It just smelled really bad and it was soo dirty. Then we went and we tried to see this person that was recommended to us from the bishop but this is the response we got from the guy, “DONT EVER COME BACK EVER!!!! DO YALL UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!!! STAY AWAY!!” So we just both laughed after he shut the door. It scared me but not Elder Matthews. We had a long fun talk about that guy. Then we went to Walmart and this guy asked us when people call yall Mormons is that offensive? We told him it was a nickname. Then we went home.
MONDAY- This morning was long I had to plan for 8pm tonight and it took me 2 hours to do because I was trying to find someone close so we didn’t have to go far. I finally found someone then we came here. I think we are just emailing and we may go eat somewhere for lunch.
Oh boy, if Ashlyn is getting her permit then I’m soo glad I’m in Bama. Lol.
I was happy to see the pic of Tyler!!!!!! Man I miss that kid. I don’t miss the snow at all. It’s a lot more colder here now though.
Most of our dinners are with members. I like the ward here. There are so many nice people. Did I tell you about the old byu lacrosse player from 72? I like it here just not all the biking. They have got some really nice looking houses. When we go to the store, we have to either walk or ride our bike and bring it home in bags. I bought a 24 pack of sprite the day I got here and we walked home with it. I usually buy small stuff. We usually eat our own stuff. He eats a little healthier.
We are only getting fed 3 times this week. In your next package, can u send me mac and cheese and crystal lights? Don’t send anymore oreos. I’m sick of those Lol. Send me some laffy taffy and about 2 bottles of fry sauce. Lol!
IM SOO SAD THAT BRO CONOVER WAS RELEASED. Ugh.
