Hey mom!

I’m doing great.  It’s just been raining this whole week.  Me and Elder Craddock are getting along very well.  He is quiet and I am doing a lot more of the talking which is good for me.  For Memorial Day we went over to the Bishops home for dinner and spent 2 hours there and in the morning we had a church tour with one of our investigators. I knew yall were at the cabin.  I miss it too, but I’ve only got 14 more months then I can do that forever.

My week:

MONDAY- We went and had lunch and we played bball and then we went to Aldes.  We went back to the zls apartment to have them cut my hair and then we went to our dinner appointment.  We didn’t have time to go change so we just went and had dinner.  While at the rest home Elder Craddock played a song that surprised a lot of people in there.  It felt like the spirit just rushed in.  It was cool.  We walked home and that was the night. It was a long walk home.

TUESDAY- Today was a good day.  We got up, did studies and then we tried to go see this guy Joe but he hasn’t been home for the longest time so we dropped him.  Then we tried to go see this less active sister Shellman but she wasn’t home so we went and saw Arlene Morgan and then we left and tried to see Jessica but she wasn’t home.  So we started biking home but then we stopped and offered to help this guy named Dave and his daughter.  They were cutting trees and bushes and so we had a good conversation with him.  We went and watched a little bit of the district.  It’s like a game film for missionaries to see what they need to work on. It’s on youtube if you want to check it out. We waited for our dinner appointment to pick us up and then we went over to the Rodartes and Myli our investigator came to the dinner and then we had a small lesson with her.  We left and went back to our apartment to go over to Mandy and teach her.  Let’s just say it got awkward.  That night after we left she sent us a text and said she didn't like Bro Swenson, he came with us.  I guess he tends to frustrate her. Lol.

WEDNESDAY- Today was a good day.  In the morning we went and tried to see this guy Donald and of course he wasn't there so we went and tried to see these new members but they weren't home.  So we went home to bypass the rain.  We made skillet mac and cheese. It was so good.  Elder Craddock loves to cook.  Then after the rained stopped we tried to see some other people and then we went to Red Robin with these 2 members.  We went with Hunter Biggs and saw this guy Cameron and then we left and got ready for basketball and then we finished out the night with that.

THURSDAY- Today was a good day.  We went and saw Eric in the morning and he had to leave soon so we went over the plan of salvation and then we went home for lunch.  We went with the Madison YSA elders to see this guy named Roy in our area.  He gave me a dr pepper and then we left and went home and then we got ready for an apartment inspection tomorrow.  Then we had dinner brought to our place and then we went with Brother Swenson and saw sister Shellman and then we went and saw this guy DJ.  We left and went to Ultimate afterwards and then we went home.

FRIDAY- Today was a good day.  In the morning we went and had district meeting and the topic was Fail Forward.  We went to burger king for lunch and then we went to Weatherly Elementary and helped a member with cleaning.  We biked back and went over to little Caesars because she gave us some money for dinner.  We dropped our bikes off and started walking I looked down when we were crossing the road and found 20 dollars!!!!!!! I ALSO ENDED MY JOURNAL TONIGHT.  IT’S ALL FILLED UP!!

SATURDAY- Today was a good day.  We got up and did comp study and went and saw Eric and then we went to Walmart so we could get some markers for our board in our apartment.  We  went home and then went up to get the mail and the apt complex was roasting hot dogs so we got some of those and then we went and weekly planned.  We went and saw this guy Brad and talked with him for a bit.  His daughter was reading the bom and was interested in it.  Then we came home and that was the day.

SUNDAY- Today was a good day.  We went to church and had our coordination meeting and then we had church and this guy Hunter wore his lax pin I gave him.  I saw the members that went up to Utah and they brought me fry sauce back, lol.  We went home and went over to the Haymonds for dinner.  We went home and got on our bikes in the rain and contacted this referral we got and we taught him the restoration and he’s interested.  He gave us a lot of food to take home and then we came home.

MONDAY- Today, we went and gave Eric a church tour and then we went home and it rained for a long time and then we went to the Biggs and had dinner there.  We talked and had a bbq and enjoyed everyone’s company and then we went home and just stayed in because it was raining.

Tonight we are going to go out with bro swenson and see some people. That’s about it. We only have 2 dinner appointments this week. Lol.

Today we went to red robin with the zls and got the 7 dollar combo.  There was a server there that walked by and she was like y'all talking about girls? We were like no lol.  We explained who we were, it was funny. We play bball a lot on pday.  We have fun with it though by getting creative by just doing fun games

May 22, 2017 New Comp: Elder Craddock

HEY MOM!!!!

My week has been good, a little stressful but good. Only because I’m the leader right now showing the new guy around. Elder Craddock is a cool guy.  He’s very funny and a little quiet. It’s going good, members are just like “your still here?” Not in a bad way. Elder Lewis is awesome. He is now one of my zls. He’s doing great. We didn't get any tornado warnings this week but it rained really hard on Saturday.  The wind blew some trees down. Yes I got the pins, thank you. THAT’S AWESOME THE LACROSSE TEAM TOOK STATE!!!!

Here’s the week. Oh ya, Seth from the ward here is going back to his mission but his visa expired so he’s going to be in Logan for about 3 months. He left this morning.

MONDAY- after we left the church we went and played tennis over at the zls place. It was fun.  I won 3 matches, then they took us home and we got dressed.  We tried to go see the Foils but they weren't home so we went over to this guy John Walls home and talked to him a bit. He was fascinated about how we did missions and stuff.  Then we went home and went to a dinner appointment and had dinner with some Spanish missionaries and then we came home for the night.

TUESDAY- Today was a full day of Elder Ratigan saying goodbye to people.  He packed for 2 hours in the morning and I did some areabook stuff while he packed and then we went over and saw Breanna.  She’s a recent convert who got her patriarchal blessing on Thursday! Then we left and we went and said goodbye to a less active that let us do service for her and then we went home and did comp study.  We went and taught the Restoration to this person Betty with Seth, then we were going to have a dinner appointment with an investigator but she cancelled so we went and had dinner at our apartment.  We went and tried to see the foils, the kids were home but not the parents.  So we left and went and taught Mandy with a member and then we came back and the Sparkman Elders gave us their car and then we went to bed.

WEDNESDAY- Today we got up at 6 and left at 7.  We went to Starbucks because elder Ratigan had a card from an investigator so he got a biscuit and water and then we got to transfers.  We talked with a lot of people and then we had the meeting.  After the meeting we got Elder Craddocks stuff and talked to more people and then we left and went home.  He unpacked his stuff and then we went and gave the car back to Sparkman and then we went over to the store and I let him get some things and then we came back home and had dinner.  I took him to see some members and went to bball. That was the night.

THURSDAY- We got up in the morning and we did the usual personal and comp study and then we went over to this guy Erics and taught him.  We left and went to have lunch and then we went and tried to see this couple Jessica and Jeff, but they were busy so we left and went and tried to see Jessica but she wasn’t home.  So we went to see Steve and talked with him for a bit and then we shared a scripture and then we went home to go play ultimate frisbee with Brandon.  Nobody showed up so we threw it around a bit. That was the day.

FRIDAY- This morning we had district meeting and Elder Lewis saw the calendar and he thought that was so cool.  We had a training by elders Lewis, Lee, Smith, and Burgoyne and then we said the prayer and went and prepared for the expo the next day.  We spent about 3 hours there doing the prep work and then we went home and it started raining so we waited for the rain to stop and then we went to see Mandy with Hunter Biggs.  We came home and went over to little caesers and saw this guy Aaron who comes to bball on Wednesday nights and then left. That was it.

SATURDAY- We went in the morning and helped this family the Kriegers move.  It took us from 9 to 12 and then we came home and did personal and comp study and talked for a bit.  Then went to prepare for the expo. We spent the rest of the night there. We originally planned for 250 people but only 15 came.  So it looked like this was a bust but there was members that brought some friends and the friends loved it.  So we cleaned up and right before it started it started POURING RAIN OUTSIDE.  There were places where trees were down and power was out. So that was the day.

SUNDAY- Today we got up and prepared for church and then we went and it was ward conference today.  So we had meetings and then we had our investigator William come to church.  The stake president and the bishop had him introduce himself 3 times. The 3rd time he got up and said "Hey I’m William Davis, I’m visiting from trinity Methodist church and I thank Kaden for inviting me' LOL.(one time he asked us if elder was our name so we told him) So after church, William said “I feel the spirit more here than at the other church” then he left.  We went to one more meeting and then we left and went over to the Roots for dinner.  She made the best meatloaf I’ve ever had in my life. Then we talked with them and shared a scripture and then we left and went and saw the Foils and then we went home.  It started raining so the Foils drove us home.

MONDAY- we got up and came to the church and now we are emailing.  Elder Lewis is going to give me a haircut, he says I should go back to the spikes lol. Then idk what’s next.

There’s a lady that’s feeding us tonight at her rest home. She’s in a wheel chair.

Hey Mom!!!!

I’m good, I did a lot better after our call than last time.  I love the pics! I’m so glad I got to see yall yesterday.  Anyway here’s the weekly letter! The picture is of Brandon, his mom and his sister and me.  Brandon also got his call, he’s going to Montana!

MONDAY- After we emailed we went to dinner at Cicis with the Smithsons and then we went to see a less active family and then we met this guy named Allen.  He wanted to know why we believed in our church, so we shared our testimonies and then we left and went home for the night.

TUESDAY- Today was a good day.  We went and met up with a less active who let us make some Mother’s day cards with her for about 1 hour.  And then we went and did comp study and then we went out for the day.  We tried to go see some area book people and then we tried to see this guy Christian but they weren’t home so we went and had dinner with the Richies and then we went to see a less active family and then we came in for the night.

WEDNESDAY- today we had district meeting and then we planned for our meet the Mormons expo happening on the 20th.  We did a walk through and then we went to steak and shake for lunch, it’s very cheap! We came home and our investigator cancelled on us so we decided to go and try to find some people for a half an hour.  We met this guy on the way named Kevin he doesn't understand why we wear pants in 80 degree weather.  We talked with him and then he had to go to work so we started walking again and this lady yells HEY YALL!!! She gives us a pizza and crazy bread and a whole lot more stuff.  We talked to her for a bit.  She knows a lot about Mormons.  She’s not going to be taught but she knows how hard it is for us.  Then our ride for dinner showed up and she kept talking and I was trying to tell our ride one sec. After we got done talking our ride just drove off.  So we walked back home and another guy picked us up and then we went over to the house and the other member is like, 'It’s very rude to keep me waiting for you, very rude very rude" so we just took it how it was. We are sorry we are doing missionary work. Geez!  Then after dinner we went to bball and that was the night.

THURSDAY- Today we got up a little late and then we did weekly planning till about 3.  We went with Bro Swenson to go see some people. We saw Jessica and then we went and tried to see Betty but she wasn’t home so we saw a less active and then we went to Bro Swensons home to eat dinner.  We went to play volleyball at the church but it was occupied so we went and played ultimate frisbee and then we went home.

FRIDAY- Today was a finding day.  We went and taught this guy Eric in the morning and then we went and saw some members who fed us some Papa Murphy’s.  We went and tried to see someone over at this trailer park but no luck so we went and tried to find a place called sugar mill but we only found 1 person.  We went and had dinner with the Lees and they had burritos and then they told us some of their ghost stories and then we went home.

SATURDAY- Today was a good day.  We went to the Sparkman building to plan for the expo again and just did some planning.  Then we went to lunch and then we went to try to see this person Cassy but she wasn’t home so we tried to find some people.  We got some phone numbers and we met this person who knew nothing about Mormons and we taught her the Restoration.  We went to Walmart and saw some members and then we went home for the transfer calls.  Elder Ratigan is leaving and I’m staying another round here.  I’m getting this guy Elder Craddock and he’s pretty cool.  I know him from Wetumpka.  That was the night.

SUNDAY- Today we went over to the church and had a meeting and then we had church and then after we took pics.  Then we did Skype.  It was awesome!  Then we went to see some people the rest of the night and that was it.  We grilled out and had some burgers.

MONDAY- Emailing and then probably doing stuff but idk.

Well mom better get going, we are heading out. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND REMEMBER TO STAY STRONG.

Hi Mom!!!

I just got back from a rocket center so we emailed a little late. I’ve been doing really well. That’s so cool yall had the missionaries over for dinner. It was a really busy week, a lot of service. The only time we wore proselyting clothes was for like half an hour. It was awesome.

MONDAY- After we emailed we went and played Frisbee golf and then we went home and went to Walmart and got some groceries and then we went to see some people and then we went home and then we went to bed.

TUESDAY- We went and got my bike from the bike place and now it’s fixed.  We went tracting and found some cool people, then we went over to a less actives home where I got to mow my first lawn on my mission with an electric Lawn mower!  Then we went to see Sister Richi and talked with her and then we went with our ward mission leader to see this guy Cameron and then we left and we went home.

WEDNESDAY- We got up and we went to see Myli with Brandon Lee and she asked us some hard questions about the apostasy and then we left and we went to our district meeting and I gave a training on faith and hope in Jesus Christ.  Then we went to Burger King and did the 50 nugget challenge, bad idea, lol.  Then we went home and went over to Sister Morgans to help her move some boxes and then we went to dinner with The Hixs.  They took us to Sonic and then dropped us off at bball.  We did pretty well, then Seth came and got us and that was the night.

THURSDAY-We got up and went and mowed a members lawn and then it started raining so we left and went home and started weekly planning.  We went and helped a members friend move into another place and then we came home and got a text from another member needing help moving so we went and helped him for awhile. He had a lot of heavy dressers and stuff. Then we went home and had dinner with Thomas and then that was the night.

FRIDAY- Today was service day part 2!  We went to help some members move out of their home and into another one. They got us some taco bell because of May the 5th and then we were picked up by some members to go help her move some bamboo off of her driveway. She bought us some pizza and we had a lesson with her Catholic husband and then we did the service. It rained that whole day. Then they dropped us off at our apartment and then we went and helped the same person with the heavy dressers move again and then we came home and showered and then went store contacting for a half an hour and then we went home. I hurt that day!

SATURDAY- TODAY IS MY 10 MONTH MARK!!!! Today was service day part 3!  We went and helped this couple Jeff and Jessica move out of their home and to another one. They’re both non members but a member referred us to go help them. Then we went to a meeting for a thing we are putting on called Meet the Mormons expo and then we went and had lunch.  We went to a less active home for dinner and taught the non member husband and then we went and taught Brad and Madison. They moved in a week ago and then we went home for the night.

SUNDAY- We went to church and had sacrament meeting.  We had this guy John McDaniel show up. We had no idea who he was so we showed him around and then we said goodbye to him. He wanted lunch lol. So then we went on with church and then we went home and had lunch and then we went to the Roots to have dinner with them and to help Dave move some stuff into the attic.  We went home and tried to see this person Jessica but she wasn’t home so we went to see Bergita and she was sick so we went home and did area book stuff and then went to bed.

MONDAY- We woke up and cleaned and then we went to the space and rocket center.  We rode on a ride that’s exactly like the rocket at lagoon, it was fun.  And now we are emailing and then we have a dinner appointment with someone tonight.  We have a dinner appointment all week this week except mother’s day. Lol!

Church is from 1-4pm, we are skyping at the church. I’ll probably use Facebook.
We are going to facetime at 5 our time and 4 your time. That’s when Elder Ratigans parents can do it. I will probably call you Saturday night or sometime during the week to set up the exact details.
