HEY!!!

I’m doing great. It rained really hard about 3 times last week and yes it’s still very hot. This past week we did meet some new investigators.  We also went and visited some members and some less actives. I’m still nervous about talking to people about the gospel but I’m getting better.  Just yesterday I gave another blessing to a member who has a disease. He went in for surgery last night.

We are teaching this guy named Deboyce. We met him on the street and we have had 2 lessons with him. We asked him if we keep coming back and teaching him will he be baptized. He said YES. So we are excited and meeting with him a lot. We see this guy Steven a lot too, he’s a recent convert. He wants to do baptisms for the dead. His brother passed away when he was little so he wants to be baptized for his brother Jacob. We are also meeting with this guy Frank. He’s been coming to church a lot. He’s the step father of Katelyn, the 14 year old who wants to get baptized but her mom won’t let her.  Her mom got mad at us because she thought we were just rushing Katelyn to be baptized. So we just went and talked to her and told her we were sorry and gave her doughnuts. It’s all good now.

Zone Conference was awesome on Tuesday. I saw a lot of guys from the MTC that I knew. It was in Montgomery. We usually go help out at the food pantry on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10-2. While we were there, this little boy asked me if I could tell him about lacrosse. He wants to play, it was cute.    Also, on Thursday we went and played bball with some of the young men.  It was fun.
I’m doing great.  I just keep trying to go everyday knowing I have a father who did this. Whenever I think of dad, I think “Keep trying your hardest”.

Elder Lewis has been in Wetumpka for 6 months. He is from Kingston, Jamaica. He is a convert.  He used to be a Jehovah Witness.

I think you should make dinner for the missionaries.  It’s very hard for them because sometimes nobody will feed them. I want you to have dinner with them and then take a pic and send it to me, ok?

I sent a few pictures.  One is a member’s pantry door that looks like cupboards and I thought it was cool.  The other picture is what the sisters did to our front door. And the last one is a picture of my new haircut that Elder Lewis gave me.  Lol!

Well I’ve got to go.

LOVE YOU FOREVER & MISS YOU TONS!!!!!!!

Elder Webb

  2. What a great missionary Kaden is! It is so wonderful to read about his ups and downs. And cute how he puts a plug in for you guys to feed the missionaries. And I am so proud of Clint deciding to go on a mission. I remember how excited my dad was about Clint serving a mission. And what a great mom and example you are Shawnie!
