November 27, 2017

Hey mom,

I’m doing good. We are in Millbrook right now and so I will just tell you about our week instead of the mon through fri, I have pics for you this week.

I love the pictures of Thanksgiving.  I love those and I’m so glad that dad is doing well.  I’ve been praying for him and his health and yall as well.

Thanksgiving was good.  We had lunch at the Talbot's.   We played scum and we took pics and talked and that was about it. And then we went to Docs and were there for the rest of the night. We had fun but it wasn't as fun as last year.

We had district meeting and we played bocce for the icebreaker and we had a great meeting.  I said the closing prayer as well. We had lunch at the martins and later that night we went to the Harmony club and they gave us both pocket knives and I got a new watch from them.  It’s really nice.

We had a zone activity today and before we had a flag football game at 730. While we were driving there I got pulled over in a construction zone for going 58 in a 35. The officer took my license and asked for proof of insurance and while I was looking for that he looked at me and said just be careful and gave me my license back and let us go. I didn’t see the sign for that but as soon as the cop saw me I knew I messed up and he appreciated me pulling over before he turned on his lights. Lesson learned.  #blessed.  It was a miracle because I thought I was gonna get a huge ticket. That was an experience. Don’t worry, you know I’m a good driver anyways. So it’s ok.

We then played ball and we went to an island for the activity.  We had a hot dog eating contest and I participated in the pie eating contest. I got 2nd place lol. And then we played some more stuff then we came here to email with Millbrook.

Nobody is speaking of the football game. Alabama was just awful. We won’t have pday on Monday. The temple trip is next week and so they moved Pday to Thursday. But I’m still gonna do stuff on my birthday with Camden. Don’t know what but I will let you know next week. One more birthday and then I can share it with my family. I have a week left of being a teenager. It’s sad but I’m moving on with life. Nobody’s offered to do anything on my bday.  Doc will prob do something on my bday but that’s about it.

We did service for a member.  We moved a bunch of plywood and we helped him put together his smoker and we moved a water heater. That was on Wednesday and we didn’t do that much service besides that during the week. We have people that would like us to come so we will have more stuff next week to do. In small towns like this there isn’t that much to do. We try to find more investigators but people just like their own stuff. We try to do more service to soften people. Service softens stony souls.

Elder Church likes Selma, he enjoys it. I play basketball and play football but other than that I don’t get much exercise. Also, Doc will be baptized March 17th or 18th. We finally figured it out.

There’s a pic from a year ago and now at the same spot.

THANK YOU MOM!
LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!!!!!!
Elder Webb

Here’s a song that I almost cry to when I hear it. A member in Selma shared it with me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECKoDl5zy_g  (Garth Brooks...Mom)

November 20, 2017

Hey mom!!!!!!!!

My week was pretty good.  We did some service and we had an exchange on Friday to Saturday. Nothing new in Selma right now.  Everyone is getting ready for Christmas and Thanksgiving. Next weekend is the Alabama and Auburn game so it may be a little bit of a hectic day next week. It hit me today that I have 3 weeks left of being a teen. How sad. But cool.  Plans for thanksgiving are to go to the Talbots, our branch president, and have dinner there. The Talbots signed up to feed us on thanksgiving so we are going there and not Docs.  They have 4 kids, ones moved out and one is 22 Taylor and ones on a mission in Idaho named Bruce, and then a 15 year old named Braxton. That’s all we have planned for thanksgiving.

The blowup with Doc is all over now. It’s in the past.

I’ve grown out here without even noticing. I’ve been a lot more spiritual and a lot more responsible and a lot more fun. Lol. I like to hear about the week even if yall don’t have much going on.  Btw I don’t have any pics this week.
Anyways here’s the week.

MONDAY- We left the library and went to our dinner appointment and we had a good time talking about missions and then we went home for the day and we had a conference call at 9 that night and I gave a blessing and then we went to bed.

TUESDAY- Today we went over to the train depo and talked to Beth and then we went to docs and started painting and that’s when Elder Church spilt some paint so she was a little ticked and then went back home and showered and then we went and got some milk and dropped it off at docs when she wasn't home.  Then we tried to go see some other people but that didn’t work so we ended the night with watching the Joseph Smith movie.

WEDNESDAY- Today we got up and we went to see Sarah and then we went to Docs and dropped some stuff off to her and she forgave us and then we went and picked up some boxes for us and then later that day we went and had dinner at the Schermans.  He wanted a blessing so we gave him a blessing and then we had a spiritual thought and then we said a prayer and then helped him lift some stuff and then we went home and then to Walmart and then home that was the day.

THURSDAY- Today we went to the food pantry at 830 and helped till 12 and they gave us food afterwards and then we went to see Marcus and talked with him and then we went home and changed and then we went to Docs and helped her with some stuff.  Then we went and had interviews with the mission president and him and his wife both told us that we all could be getting android phones sometime next year April.  We would have to pay for it, but we keep it also for after the mission. Then they took the district out to lunch and then we went to Docs and she made Tater tot casserole and she never had it so we tried it and she made it really good. She even liked it and then we went home after that.

FRIDAY- Today we went to district meeting and I gave the closing prayer and then we went to Thomasville and had an exchange there and I went with Elder Robertson and all 4 of us went to this guy Joes home and he bought us dinner and then we went back to Thomasville and went and tried to see some people and then we all met up at dollar general and while we were there I got a call from Kenny from Wetumpka saying that I needed to come visit before I head home so I told him ill come sometime and then we talked with a guy and then we went home and played Scum and then we went to bed.

SATURDAY- Today we all got up and played Scum and then we went and raked leaves for 3 hours and then the lady gave us money and so we went to taco bell and then we went back to their apt and played scum and ate and then we went to see this person Rusty and she gave us 60 bucks to get food and then we went home and had dinner and comp study and we all went around the room saying what we learned from everyone.  Mainly everyone said that he’s a guy that will have fun with anything no matter what the job is he has fun with it. And he’s not afraid to talk to people. So I thought that was cool and then we finally went home and it was rainy and windy.

SUNDAY- Today we got up and went to church and we blessed the sacrament again and then we went home and had lunch and then we went to see Doug Buster and he’s like yall are celebrity's in the newspaper. (the thing from last week) and so we talked with him and then we went over to Crazy Beths and we talked with her and then she ordered pizza for us and then we left and went home and showered and went to Camden to watch the face to face and then we spent the night with them and that was the night.

MONDAY- Today we got up and came to the church and we are taking turns emailing and playing scum and bocce and we will play ball tonight and then head back home then. Right now, we are playing card games and waiting for the weather to get warmer so we can play bocce.

We sometimes eat home.  Elder Church likes to cook small stuff like ramen and hot dogs. He’s the oldest of 6 and his parents are divorced. He is the first missionary out.

That sounds fun for dad to go run errands.  At least dad can go places and not sit on the couch. He hated when I did that.
He just talked about my goals and how I need to wake up on time better.  And how I find new investigators and what investigators I have.

So that was the week and we don’t have any other plans.
I WILL MISS YALL TOO ON THANKSGIVING BUT IT ISNT FOREVER, SO ITS THE LAST TIME. JUST YOU WAIT, ILL BE HOME BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!

November 14, 2017.. Handwritten Letter

To my family,

Hey!

So today was kind of depressing.  We just got back from Doc's and Elder Church spilt a lot of paint and so Doc just told us we are done for today.  So we just got home.  Doc is so mad right now.  But MOM don't worry about it.  I'm trying to cheer up Elder Church, he feels so bad.  So that's whats been going on today, Lol.

SO ON TO THE LESS DEPRESSING PART OF MY LETTER!

Me and Elder Church have got along so well.  I think he's my 2nd favorite companion.  I have 8 months left!  Like WOW!  Can't believe how far I've come.  I've loved my mission.  I've made so many friends out here.  I've seen things in my Patriarchal Blessing come true.  Even ya'll at home.  I've gained a better relationship with Heavenly Father.  I love this gospel with all my heart.  I love you all and thank you all for not giving up on me.  Thanks for helping me press forward.  Peace!!

Can I get another family calendar for next year?  Just like the one I have?  That would be so cool!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Love, Elder Webb

November 13, 2017

Hey Mom!

Sorry for the late response.  We just got back from Camden. We were playing ping pong and card games and now we are here. I won’t have time again to do the weekly thing but I’m still telling you stuff that we did.

Wow dad had surgery. I was worried about that. He looks really nervous on the hospital bed, but glad it went well. Things are still going well with me and Elder Church. Elder Church likes Selma. People told him it was bad but he’s got a new perspective. Plus he’s been in a smaller area named Locust Fork.

The spiritual experience this week was a referral. So we stopped at a house to drop off a bible and book of mormon and so we found the lady and we were about to leave and she says yall should come in and teach me about this. So we went in and had a lesson with her and talked to her about church and she was so interested that she was excited to come. So we prayed with her and then we left. She didn’t come to church but we were expecting her to just blow us off but she invited us in. It was really cool. She told us we can come back any time so we will get back with her.

That’s cool about grandpa and Shane helping with Christmas lights. It’s good that ash and ty are helping out. They need to.

We are helping Doc paint and set up her Christmas tree.  Her house is HUGE so we are painting a downstairs wall just behind the Christmas tree. We had zone conference on Friday as well.  It wasn’t too good. It was really boring this time just the same teachings nothing new. I saw some of my past comps though. Elder Lewis is going home this transfer so I took a pic with him and I saw bro Robinson and I talked with him about dad and he said he would tell Mathew sometime. But that’s about it.

My pictures are of me in a cotton field.  We also put Christmas lights up in our room. We went to a tractor show on Saturday and got marshmallow guns lol.
The only thing I know going on this week is just doing service for doc, the food pantry and maybe a member. Doc invited us for thanksgiving but idk if we will get anyone else.

Sis Belnap, a single lady in our branch is feeding us at 6.  There will be more people because of mission rules not allowing her to feed us alone.   Doc is older, there’s a certain age that you have to be, so she clears it to feed us alone.

Tell dad I love him and I hope his recovery goes well.

November 6, 2017 -- Elder Church

Hey mom,

We are in Wetumpka giving Elder Dawson some stuff back so I won’t have long to email since there is only 2 computers. I’ve been doing good, the adjustment went just fine. I love my comp right now. Elder Church is awesome.  We get along so well.  He’s been out for 13 months and is from Clearfield UT. I mainly drive right now and then I’ll start letting him drive. I’m letting him get used to the area first. Doc isn’t gonna be baptized till March and I will be allowed to come back. President changed his mind. One of the missionaries she wants to come to her baptism went home and is in school and he will have spring break in March so then he can come too.  People are still saying that me and Dawson are legends in the mission for getting her to say yes. Lol. You shouldn't of told me about dad. I’m so worried for him right now. He’s the only man that can provide and he’s out for weeks. Ugh. Well I guess I’ll keep praying for him. Here’s the week.

TUESDAY- After the library we went and saw Beth and we went and saw Doc and had lunch at a couple’s home.  Then we went home and Elder Dawson packed his stuff in the car and then we went up to the Alabaster Elders apartment to stay the night after the temple. Then we went and got some dinner and went to the temple. I loved it. It was awesome.  We will be going back in December.  Then after we took pics and then we went back to the Alabaster Elders place which was Butterfield and Henre.   We spent the whole night talking because he went home on Wednesday. So that was the day.

WEDNESDAY- we got to the transfer building and we found out who our comps were and Butterfield served with Church so we already had that in common. After the meeting we went to Moes and then we went to Wetumpka to drop elder Dawsons stuff off. He has alot of crap. Then we went back to Selma. He unpacked and we went to Docs and we went and saw some other people and I just introduced him to the area.

THURSDAY- We went and got McDonalds for breakfeast and then we went to the food pantry and Elder Church bagged while I handed out stuff and then we went to see Marcus. It rained a lot in the morning. Then we went to the store and  we got groceries and then we went to see Beth and introduce him to her and then we went and saw doc for awhile and we had dinner there.  We had burritos and then we went to try and see some people but no go so we went home and we watched the best 2 years.

FRIDAY- Today we got up and I went to Walmart and got some shampoo and then we went to district meeting and it was alot better than last time. we have a new district leader Elder Breathweight and I gave a training on the Holy Ghost and then we went to the Martins and had some good food.  Then we went to Dirt Cheap in Magnolia and then we went home and had dinner at Docs and then we went to the Harmony club to introduce Elder Church to them. That was the day.

SATURDAY- We went and put designs on t shirts at the Harmony club and did some more service and that lasted till about 3 then we went home and showered.  We went to Docs and then we went to try and see some people and then we went to the Harmony club where we had a fun time there and everyone likes Elder Church. He’s short and I’m tall so it’s kinda funny seeing us in Selma. Lol.

SUNDAY- Today we went to church and I have been blessing the Sacrament every Sunday since I’ve been here. So then we went to see some less actives but they weren't home so we went to see Doc and then answered some questions she had and then we went to see the Busters but they weren’t home so then we packed up our stuff and went to Wetumpka and spent the night there. Its bringing memories back a ton. Lol.

MONDAY- Today we are at the Wetumpka building.  We are emailing and playing bball and then we will head back to Selma in a while and go see some people. We will probably go to Camden and play ball tonight. Elder Dawson is biking and so he wanted to use our car so he can get some stuff from Walmart. Sister Underwood lives in Kansas now because she got a divorce with bro Underwood. It was sad to hear.

In the one pictures, we are shoveling sand and dirt off of the sidewalk.

Thanks mom and love you forever and ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
