Hey mom, we just found out that transfers are really gonna be different. We are still getting calls on Saturday but the call will only tell us if we are being transferred.  We won't know who we are getting or where we are going until transfer day. I hate it. LOVE YOU THOUGH!

Hey mom!

I don’t have much time so here’s a couple of quick things that happened. I’m staying in Selma, Elder Dawson is leaving, Doc will be baptized next year (pres said no past missionaries can come so we will wait till after the mission) and we got professional pics from a photographer on Friday at the Harmony Club. We didn’t find out the transfer news till last night, so we are moving quick for Elder Dawson. I know you wanted me to be transferred, lol, but my trend is still going. Camden elders are staying.  We will be getting a new district leader though.
I’m not going to do the weekly thing because I don’t have a lot of time, but here’s some stuff that was the highlight of the week.

BOEZ ARTS BALL- Friday we went to the Harmony club for boez arts ball and we went as the men in black.  Elder Dawson let me use his black tie. There were some really weird people there but there was a lot of people that we knew and we had a lot of people thinking we were the security for the night. Haha.  It was fun.  There was food and movies and we got our pictures taken. Those people will send them to us and I will send them to you. That was it of that.

INTERVIEWS- We had interviews last week and mine was good.  President had nothing to criticize me about. I asked him about transfers and he told me he doesn’t know but then I told him I liked to stay in areas longer and he was like oh ok. So yeah. In Elder Dawsons interview President told him that missionaries will not attend Docs baptism.  The only ones who will get to go is the Selma Elders. So Doc didn’t like that and pushed it to next year after we are all off our missions. So that’s what happened with that.

TRANSFERS- They will be different this time.  We will only find out if we are being transferred and that’s it. We don’t find out till we get to the transfer building. So a lot of missionaries are not happy with this and plus we found out last night which makes us even more mad. So this week was full of frustration.
So after this we are saying goodbye to people then at 4 we are going to Birmingham to go to the temple for a recent convert that he baptized in North Port, writing president and doing numbers and emailing everyone else.  Tonight we are staying in Alabaster so we can be in Birmingham for the transfers.

I’ve been on edge since Saturday worried about transfers, but every one of my companions has been one I can survive. I’ll hang in there. I will email a lot more next week. Alright we are leaving. So I love you mom and I pray for yall daily and I will try my best with the new guy.

LOVE YOU FOREVER

October 23, 2017

Hey mom!!!!

I’m doing good rn.   The week was good.  We did service a lot and we had a good district meeting too. The plans for this week, well we have interviews tomorrow and we are doing service at the harmony club on Saturday and just service and find. That’s about it. Yeah Doc is still on for the 4th.  We are doing the paper work for it now. Stressful. Lol. Here’s the week. Next week p day will be on Tuesday not Monday. Oh and I heard Hayward broke his ankle and is out for the season. I guess that’s what he gets for leaving the jazz lol.

MONDAY- We played bball that night and then me and Elder Dawson went home afterwards and that was the night.

TUESDAY- We got up and we went to see Beth and talked with her and then we went to see Doc and had lunch and then we tried to see some referrals but most of them had a phone number that was disconnected or the address was wrong.  So we spent a little bit trying to find them then we went and had dinner and then we went and tried to see some other people but no go so we went home and played a board game called Catan.

WEDNESDAY- We got up and we went to Book club and they had food there and then we went to see some referral’s and tried to find people but we only found 1 referral and then we went to Camden for Elder Allens birthday then came home and contacted one more person and then we came home and played Catan.

THURSDAY- Today we went and helped out at the food pantry and then we went to see Marcus and read the scriptures with him and then we went and tried to contact a referral named Gloria but she wasn’t home so we went home for lunch and comp study.  We went to Docs and talked for awhile and then we went home and had dinner and then we tried to see Scott and Ricky but they weren’t home so we went home and played Catan. It’s a fun game. Elder Dawson played it with his previous comps.

FRIDAY- We got up and we went to D-meeting and I had to give a pmg training on the spot so I just flipped to obedience and I did well.  The ZLS were there and then we went to the Martins and then we went home and went to Docs and then we went to see some other people and then we came home and had dinner and then we went to the Harmony club and a person there asked if we could come help them and then we went home. The Harmony club guy is not as bad if you know him. If you just watch that video you’ll get a little scared of him. Lol.

SATURDAY- Today we went to Daniels and helped him cut some grass and do some roofing and fix a car and bury a cat.  Yes bury a cat. Lol. Now I felt what dad felt when he buried pepper. Lol. Then we got done there at 3 then we went back to Docs and we scraped some paint off some stuff and then we went back to Daniels and had dinner there, Skyline Chili. Spaghetti and chili and cheese. It’s pretty good then we talked about atvs and stuff like that and then we went home.

SUNDAY- Today we went to church and a high council man came and it was one of the members of the Wetumpka ward.  He recognized me and then after church we went home and had lunch and played Catan and the we went to try to see the kids busters and doug. But nope so we went to Crazy Beths and we spent 4 hours there and she actually ordered pizza for us. Lol. She is the less active who thinks church members are hypocrites. Then we went home after that.

MONDAY- We got up and we came to the library. I’m going to do my laundry in Camden.  They are gonna let me use their washer and dryer. So I don’t have to pay. Then we are coming home. Camden is gonna spend the night with us tonight for interviews tomorrow.  We have two extra mattresses.   Yeah transfers are the 1st.

I heard about byu. They are pretty bad.  You might as well become Alabama fans. Bama is good, oh THEY ARE GREAT!!!!!!. Bama is rollin right now. It’s either Auburn(BYU) or Bama (Utah) here, you have to pic a side.

Can you send me 4 by 6 pics of some camping trips that I’m in? I’m gonna put those on my next planner. Any pic of riding 4 wheelers. I need 2, if you can. I tape them in that’s what I did last transfer. I had a pic of the temple and a quote and I had one with me and Morley.

On Friday the harmony club is having a Halloween party and me and Elder Dawson are going as the men in black.

The picture of the sidewalk is a service we did for a guy. We cut the grass on the side of the sidewalk, it was growing over the sidewalk.  The other picture is the first LDS church in Alabama. And Doc gave us a Christmas tree, Lol!

Tell everyone I said Hi.  I love you and always pray for you!

October 16, 2017

Hey mom!

I’ve been doing very well this week. An experience I had is when we went to a thrift store and Elder Dawson wondered and I was walking around and I found this lady who was having a struggle with lifting a BIG speaker and so I asked if she needed help and she said if you could so I lifted the speaker and put it on her cart and she’s like thank you kind sir and then she walked out and I never saw her again. God put me there to help that lady. And then last night we went to a dinner appointment and I didn’t know what to share, but then a thought came in my head and said show them the video THE SAVIOR UNDERSTANDS ME and so I did and we watched it 2 times and they really needed that. The mom was about to cry and I was just glad to be there. That’s all I’ve got for experiences for this week. I did get your letter. Thank you. We are in Camden today because of bball. Here’s the week.

MONDAY- After we left the church we went to taco bell and then we went home and ended the night with seeing doc.

TUESDAY- Today we got up and went to see Beth and saw the coon and then we went to help this person we met at the Harmony club and we helped her move some tables and stuff like that.  We went over to Docs and we did carpet and put her van back together and then we had dinner there. She gave us a lot of criticism because we aren’t professionals. We just brush it off our shoulders and move on.  So we left and went home and spent the rest of the time cleaning the apt.

WEDNESDAY- Today we had an apt inspection and then we cleaned the carpet with a vacuum they brought and then we went and tried to contact some referrals but none of them were home so we went home and did comp study and then we went to a thrift store and that’s where I helped a lady lift a BIG speaker and then we went to see doc and then went home and had dinner and then we went and tried to see Scott but no luck so we went home.

THURSDAY- Today was a good day.  We went to the food pantry and then we went to see Marcus and read with him and then we went home for lunch and then we went to help doc move some stuff and then we went and helped Sister Talbot move a dresser out of her work place and then we went home and had dinner and then we went back to docs and then we went home.

FRIDAY- We got up and we went with Camden Elders to a kinda like zone training/ district meeting and then we went to Chilis for lunch because I have a gift card for it then we went with Camden to a guitar store for Elder Dawson to get some stuff for his banjo and then we went home and then I got my haircut and then we had to go back to Montgomery because Elder Dawson broke one of the strings and then we went and said hi to Millbrook elders and then we went home and saw doc.

SATURDAY- We got up and went to the Harmony club and took out some laff and then we left there at 2 and then we went home showered and then we went to docs and then we went to the church and then we went back to the Harmony club and they fed us some dinner over there and then after that we went home.

SUNDAY- We got up and we went to the church at 10 and we had stake conference and president had all the missionaries stand up and he told the members these are your missionaries and then after stake conference we went to see some less actives and then we went to docs and then we went to our dinner apt at the schermans and we had a great lesson we watched the video THE SAVIOR UNDERSTANDS ME. I recommend watching it. And then we went home and then to docs and got our laundry.

MONDAY- We got up and drove to Camden and now we are here. We will be playing bball tonight and I think that’s about it. Don't know what else we are doing yet. We are all just talking and emailing.  I’ve only got 2 pics this week. One of the cotton fields and new haircut.  We will probably go get something to eat. There isn't much in Camden though.

I like doing service a lot better than tracting because you’re doing something and not having people slamming doors and plus we get fed too. Lol.

I heard Kirk found a rat at the cabin. Lol. Grandma told me about that. Haha.

Guess who I’m emailing? Makiah from Nephi. I found out she’s on a mission in North Carolina and she’s been out for 2 months. So I emailed her and she said that she was happy to hear from me and she asked if I had any advice for her so then it took off from there. I told her to just be herself and find fun in all that she does and the time will go by fast.  Lol.

Transfers are on Nov 1st and Docs baptism is on the 4th. President told Doc that the people she wants there will be there so I don’t know what will happen but I’d like to be there.  She wants me, Morley, Dawson and Lewis there.

We don’t have much planned this week.  We have interviews on the 24th in Prattville. But that’s about it. The usual stuff we do. I liked the video of Chloe, that’s funny. Lol.

LOVE YOU FOREVER MOM!!!! Tell everyone I said hi.

October 9, 2017

Hey mom!

I’m doing great right now. Yes we made it through the hurricane.  It rained a lot on Friday, we couldn’t see a foot in front of us. There’s not a lot of trees down.  Our power never went out.   It was just a lot of rain and wind. It wasn’t as bad as they were saying.  Church was cancelled and we were under house arrest for the whole day. We just played bocce and watched movies 17 Miracles and the Restoration.  We went to the church and played the piano. We did go to Docs and she did some of our laundry.

Doc will be baptized on Nov 4th. It will be a big day. Me and Elder Dawson are legends for getting her baptized. That’s all the info we have right now.  A member will baptize her. It will be exciting.

I got dads letter but not yours. I don’t have any pics this week and I’m not doing the weekly thing because we are in Montgomery emailing at a church with different missionaries. I’m sitting next to Elder Redd right now too. We had a zone activity and it was a Halloween party and I dressed up as a guy with dread locks.  We did stuff with toilet papers and pumpkins.  We went to chick fil a for lunch but I didn’t get anything because it was really crowded.   I’ll get something when we get home.
We helped a lady set up a thing at a fair on Saturday and take it down. We are going to help her on Tuesday as well.

I just showed everyone the webbed toes. A lot of people get a kick out of it.
Later we will prob go play bball in Camden again and then go see Doc. Playing bball gets me to relax and get some exercise.

It’s getting cooler here too. I’ve been thinking about yall a lot this transfer too. I just think of how it will be when I get home.

I know you get paranoid with the flu shot, so I did it for you. Elder Dawson didn’t get one. So it was just me.

I MISS YOU AS WELL MOM!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

October 2, 2017

Hey Mom!

This week was a good one. Conference was a good one.  We were at the church all Saturday.  It was just us nobody else and we went to Camden on Sunday. When I was watching conference and I would see them show the temple and temple grounds, I would say to anybody in there at the time THATS MY HOMETOWN! And my people. Lol. The exchange was not that good.  They are both really weird and they don’t work at all (service).  The person we were doing service for said they don’t work as hard as yall do. So yeah. I like the pics.  Wow Colin is already home geez. Here’s the week.  Conference times were 11-1pm & 3-5pm.

MONDAY- After we left the library we went to the church and spent the rest of the night fixing some things there. We also got the pizza and that lasted til Friday.

TUESDAY- We got up and went to the Old train depo and we talked to Beth and she let us play with her Raccoon. Lol.  Then she gave us money to go get some lunch.  Then we went to Docs and talked with her and then we went to see this referral Edward and then we went and saw this guy Scott and then we tried to see some other people but no go. So we ended the night by watching meet the mormons.

WEDNESDAY- Today we went to Book club and then we went home and went and met up with Magnolia and then we went and cleaned a cat shelter.  Our district leader just stood there and did a little bit, he mainly talked to the cats. Lol. Then we went home and showered and then we went on the exchange.  We went to Wendy’s and had dinner and then I went with Elder Robertson who has Asburgers and so I could deal with it.  So we went and saw Scott and we saw this person Sarah and had a good lesson with her and then we went back to Wendy’s and Elder Dawson bought us all frostys and then we went home and that was the night.

THURSDAY- Today we went to the food pantry and again the other two Elders didn’t do much so me and Elder Dawson did most of the stuff. We weren’t too happy and neither was the people at the pantry.  So we left and we went and had lunch and ended it there. So they went home and then we went and saw Doc and we talked with her about the exchange and then we went home and had dinner and then we went and tried to see some people but nope.  So we went tracting and nothing so we went home.

FRIDAY- Today we went to zone conference and the Camden elders carpooled with us and the conference was good.  It seems it’s the same thing over and over again. I gave a white handbook training and then at lunch I saw sister Robinson and we talked and she told me that Marcus is doing well in Utah and then after we went home and we went to Docs and then we went and had dinner at 8 and that was the night.

SATURDAY- Today we went to the church and watched Conference.  I loved the talk by Elder Holland about not comparing. You are who you are and nobody should change that.  You have gifts that nobody else has. I liked that. Then we went to Docs at 2 and then we came back and watched the next session and then we went home had dinner and then we went back to the church and watched the priesthood session and then we went to sonic and elder Dawson got me a shake.

SUNDAY- We went to the church and the wifi wasn't working so we went to Camden and watched it there with the elders.  Then we went home after that and went to the Harmony club and then we went to this couples home so they could give us some stuff. They let us watch some football and Happy Gilmore and then we left and called it a night.

MONDAY- We got up and Elder Dawson needed to go to Walmart and now we are here. We are going to get lunch and then go to Camden later to play basketball with some older guys. It’s gonna be fun. I’m excited.

That’s cool you sent Kenny a facebook happy birthday message.  He’s a really great guy, I miss him a lot.

We aren’t sure what we are doing at next zone activity.  We were gonna go to the zoo but 14 bucks a person. So no go. They will announce it soon.

The picture of the elders in the back of our car are the Camden Elders.  The ones on our porch are the magnolia elders. The one closest to me is the dl.

I’ll get my flu shot when Dawson gets it.

Hey we just got word that doc can be baptized! It will be at the end of the month! We were really excited!

LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
