HEY MOM!!!!

My week has been good, not the best but good! We had an exchange on Friday and then we were just proselyting. We are getting fed a lot. We didn’t get fed only 1 day last week. I don’t know yet for Mother’s day. It’s too early to be planning for that but when it comes up I will let you know.

MONDAY- After emailing we went and had lunch and played pool and a little bit of 4 square tennis and then we went home and got ready for our dinner appointment.  We went over and they had spaghetti and then we went home and went out for the day.  We decided to go to the Foils to find out what’s happening and on the way there my front tire popped. So I got off and we walked to the Foils and talked with them about church. They didn’t like church because there was a lot of people not paying attention and either on Facebook or people sleeping.  She said "if Father saw that he would come down off of the stand and tell me to leave". So we tried to talk with her about it but they aren’t coming back to church. So that blew it but she said she would still read from the Book of Mormon though. That was the night. I called this guy Thomas to help me with the tire.

TUESDAY- This morning Thomas came and got the bike tire and said he would be back tonight so we were bikeless today. Lol. So we met this guy from Tennessee that talked with missionaries and he’s a member in Tennessee. Then we continued walking and we met this person Rachael and she had questions about Mormons and so we talked with her about the Restoration and she liked it. We went to our appointment with this guy Eric and we read the first chapter of the Book of Mormon with him. Then we went and met this person named Betty and helped her with her yard and shared a message with her. We left and got some lunch and then we went over to our appointment with this person named Jessica and we had the best Restoration lesson with her. We went home for dinner and then we went out for team-ups and we tried to see 2 people but they weren’t home so we went to see this guy Nathan Hollander and we just talked with him and shared a scripture and then left. That was the day. Oh I got my bike tire back. Lol. He didn’t let me pay him back but I gave him 5 dollars just to tip him.

WEDNESDAY- This morning we went and saw this Person Myli with Brother Swenson and she had alot of questions. Then we left about an hour later and then he dropped us off and then we had a long comp study.  We went and saw Steve and talked with him for a bit and then we went to our dinner appointment and then we shared a quick lesson and then we went and played pig with a guy who was playing bball.  We went and saw one more person and then we came home and went to basketball for the rest of the night

THURSDAY- Today was a good day.  In the morning we did studies and then went right into weekly planning and then we had lunch and Elder Ratigan showed me how he makes chicken.  We went over to an area book person and she answered the door but she’s like "I’m not doing well and I don’t want to talk to yall" and shut the door on us. So we got back on the bikes and went over to this guy John Walls home and his wife showed up and said that he will not be converted and she wasn’t interested as well and so we talked with her and then we left.  We went to our dinner appointment at this place called China Moon and it was very good.  I got the honey and spicy chicken and I liked it!! Then we went with brother Swenson to go see Christian and we had a lesson with him and then we left and went to see this area book guy and he answered and we talked with him and he said the missionaries came and then never came again and so we will meet with him.  Then we went home for the night.

FRIDAY-This morning we had district meeting and then we went to taco bell and I got the triple double crunchwrap. And then we went on our exchanges and I went with Elder Burgoyne!!! The old mtc comp!!  He loves the mission so far. We went to see this guy Eric earlier and we told him to read the 1st chapter of Nephi and so we went there and he’s like I didn’t finish the first chapter.  We asked him where he left off and he showed us and it was chapter 8!! He thought the first chapter was the first book of Nephi.  So we talked with him and then we tried to go see someone but they weren't home so we went to see Ronda because her knees weren’t doing well.  So we talked with her and she looked at me and said I haven't forgotten about you mowing my lawn. Lol. Then we tried to see Donnie and then we went home and had dinner.  We bought a small bbq and had burgers and chicken. Then we called it a night.

SATURDAY- Today was a long day.  The Sparkman elders left this morning and then we planned and we didn’t really have anyone set for that day. So we just talked to people most of the day and we met this guy Joseph and he asked about the Book of Mormon and so we gave him one and then we left and talked to one other person.  We tried to see some other people then came in for dinner because it was raining and then we went and saw Vicki and we had a hard lesson with her.  But we tried our best and that is all that is required. Then we left and went home for the night.

SUNDAY- Today was Stake Conference and interviews so we watched the conference at our church and then we went and had interviews and that went on for a while.  He randomly asked me how my shyness was going and I told him I’m working on it. He told me that’s good, you need to get out of that state of mind.  I’m not really the person who takes the lead in the discussions, but I’m trying.  Yes the president is positive.  He thinks I’m a great elder and I have a lot of talents and he says I have a strong spirit. Then we went and saw this guy Brad and talked with him and set up a bbq night where we will grill out and have a lesson with him.  We left and had a dinner appointment.  We came home and Brad needed some quarters for a dryer and so we went over and gave it to him and talked with him some more. He gave us some chicken alfredo and it was good and that was the night.

MONDAY- we got up and we had studies and then we are emailing and going to Costco (Elder Ratigan wants to go there)  and then going to have a Nerf war with the sparkman elders and then going to a dinner appointment tonight. We all decide what we are going to do for pday, I just usually roll with the flow.

Tomorrow we are heading up to Birmingham for Elder Ratigans dr appointment. It’s for his arthritis. Its 2 hours long. We go up, have the appointment and have lunch and then hit up the mission office and then home.

Only 2 more months to my year mark!!! President couldn’t believe it either. Lol!

I can’t wait to talk to you either mom. After this, only 2 more times. When I skype yall I have a Book of Mormon analogy to show you all. It will be cool.

Hi Mom!!!

My week was awesome.  We did a lot of fun stuff plus the temple trip was soo cool!!!!! I LOVED THE PACKAGE YOU GAVE ME, HOLY COW A GOBERT JERSEY!!!!!!
We went over to the Roots for dinner, you probably got a pic. If you did can you send it to me? Here’s the week.

MONDAY- After we left the church we went and played tennis for 2 hours, it was very fun although we are terrible at it. We went home after that to get dressed and go to our dinner appointment at chick fil a.  Then after that we went to see the Albrittons and they were home but said it was too late to talk so we left and tried to go see this other guy we met but he said it was too late also.  So we were on our way back and we stopped and talked to this lady walking and she talked with us and she knew a member from a long time ago.  She didn’t want to hear a message but she liked that we talked with her, then that was the night.

TUESDAY- This morning we went out with a member of the ward Brandon.  He’s going on a mission soon and he’s wanting to come out with us more.  So we went and saw this investigator Myli and we were going to teach the restoration to her but she had alot of questions about the church.  Like why don’t we use the bible and why do yall use the book of Mormon so much? We answered her questions and then we left after an hour and Brandon's like, is that how they all are? Lol.  We told him that she just wanted answers to her questions.  Then we went to sister Hearnes and asked her if she could tailor my pants and she did. I also ripped a pair and she sowed those up as well. Then after that he dropped us off at our apartment and then we met this guy Donald.  He offered us to drive his 2016 mustang!  We sadly had to decline that offer.  Then we went in and taught him a little and then we went to Josh and Hailey Hearnes to have dinner and then we went on splits.  I went with Brother Smithson and we went and taught William.  I went in and I started teaching him about the first chapter of the Book of Mormon and then committed him to read it then we went home for the night.

WEDNESDAY- We got up and started getting ready for the temple and then the zls came and got us and we started the 2 hour drive up there.  We had zone conference first and then we went to the temple.  It was very nice, loved it as always.  We met a member of ours in the celestial room.  We talked with him for a bit and then he was about to leave then he shook Elder Ratigans hand and then he came up to my ear and said, "Elder Webb I’m so glad to see you in here.  You are a great representative of Jesus Christ, I can see your light shine within you and you are a great example of an instrument to our Heavenly Father.  I love you and you are the best missionary out there” then he left. I almost shed a tear there. I’ve never had that happen since the mtc. Then we left the temple and we took pics outside and then we started our 2 hour ride back to Weatherly.  When we were dropped off, we had dinner and then we went to see a less active and then we went to the church and played basketball with some investigators and members, then we went home.

THURSDAY- we woke up and did studies and then we decided to do weekly planning outside and we had a great time out there and then we went to this guy Eric Genders house and talked with him about past missionaries and we talked with him for a while.  Then we went and got lunch and then we went home and finished weekly planning and that lasted till about 5.  We had dinner and then we went with brother Swenson to see this person Leah Johnston and they were doing a Passover dinner and then we went home.  A Passover dinner is when they reenact the last supper that Jesus had. It was cool.

FRIDAY- Today was an ok day, we had appointments fall through.  I got the package that my mom sent me and boy oh boy it had some cool stuff!! Then we went and saw this guy Rodney Biggs and then we went to try to see this guy Christian but he wasn’t there but his dad was and we taught him a bit about the restoration.  Then we went over to this place called green cove trailers and we talked to this Mexican dude and he liked our message but he lives in Huntsville.  Then we were almost to the home of the person we were going to see and this guy came out and said " no soliciting here!!!!” And we told him we aren’t solicitors and then he’s like yes you are you guys leave! That includes your religion! Then we kept telling this guy and then we started walking off and I was shaking my head and laughing and he’s like don’t give me that eye boy! And he was talking to elder Ratigan and then we left. Boy were we angry with him. Then we went home for dinner and then we went over to the Shellmans home (less active) and they let us play their flutes and then we went home for the day. Ugh people.

SATURDAY- Today was a good day.  We did studies in the morning and then we went and helped Brother Messervy move a table out of his house and into a new one and then take that table and bring it to his home. Then we went to this place called Moes, it was a Mexican place and I got the nachos and boy oh boy were they good! Then he took us home and we got dressed and we went with Seth to try to see some people.  We met this guy from Ghana and he was very cool.  He wanted to meet with us on Monday and then we left and Seth took us home and then we went and tried to see this guy Don but his son was there and he was interested and then we went to see this person Mandy and when we were talking she made this face as if the neighbor hit his dog or something like that.  After the lesson she asked us has anything weird happened to yall on your mission so far. We asked why and she looked at me and said "when Elder Webb was talking over his shoulder there was this like white glow in the shape of like a ball or a face. I was shocked but I thought that was so cool!! Then we left and did some store contacting and then we went home. Cool day!

SUNDAY- Today was a long day.  We went to the church and had coordination meeting and then sat for 2 hours for sacrament meeting to begin.  Elder Ratigans allergies were acting up and so it was a long morning for him.  Then sacrament meeting started and then after church we went home and went to the Roots for dinner and we colored eggs there and had some ham and potatoes and then they took us home.  We went over to the Shellmans because they made us some rolls and then we talked with them for a bit then we went home.

MONDAY- we woke up and cleaned and then we came to the church. Don’t know what we will do the rest of the day.  We are seeing somebody at 6 and then someone at 730.
We have one set of sisters in our zone. It’s sad. Lol.

Hey can dad send more of those lacrosse pins? I’m giving them to my comps and people in every ward who helped out the most.

OH YA we are still on the bikes a lot. I’ve gotten used to it though.  It’s getting hot here.
My one picture is a van.  Two people could sit in the front and I chose to sit with the table. Lol.  2nd pic the Tennessee river!

I guess church scared the family of 10 off. She sent us a text and said that she didn’t want any more lessons. We are going to go talk with her tonight.  

Same old stuff for zone conference, although I had a lot of people including president and sister Sainsbury tell me I’ve lost a lot of weight and I look healthier. Elder Redd and I talked and he’s a pretty cool guy.  He’s comps with Elder Porter (met him back when I was in Wetumpka).

I like the pics of yall!! I started laughing when I saw the pics of Raymond and grandpa! What’s with the one leg up for ash in one of the pics? She looks like a city girl!!! Ugh one of those. Lol.  Keep her mellow, lol!  It makes me miss home but I’m sticking it out here. 14 more months, 3 more till the year mark!!!  The rice krispies were still soft and they were good.

Hi mom!!!

This has been a great week so far. Like one of the best weeks out here! I’m 9 months out and I’m loving it! The Foils came to church, that was the really exciting thing this week. Here’s the week.

MONDAY- after we emailed we went over to the thrift store and then we went back to the apartment and then the guy Thomas took both our bikes to tune them up and make them look new.  He’s so cool! The pizza came and then we went over to the Foils and just taught them about the Book of Mormon.  We got a call from a member asking if we would like to come over for dinner. So we were like yeah let’s do it! So he picked us up and then we went over there and come to find out there was 3 sets of missionaries there already. Lol. So we spent the rest of the night there talking with them.

TUESDAY- today we met with Chris and he is so excited to be baptized, but he told us he is moving to Oklahoma to take care of his mom.  So we got in contact with the elders in Oklahoma and he’s gonna be interviewed there. So then we said our goodbyes and then we left. We went back to the apartment and changed and then we went to zone training and it was Elder Senyolos last one before he went home (zone leader). So we had it and then after we went home and we helped our new neighbors move in and shared a message with them and then we went with our ward mission leader Bro Swenson to teach this guy Cameron. We had an ok lesson. Bro Swenson talked a lot and then we went home for the day.

WEDNESDAY- This morning we decided to take Hunter Biggs with us and go try to see this person Char but she wasn't home so we tried tracting for a bit and we found 1 person that was interested in basketball at the church.  Then after that we went to drop off some Book of Mormons at a members home and then we went to taco bell and got some potato grillers and then we went and tried to see a referral but she wasn’t interested.  We were dropped off at Breannas and we had a good talk with her. We haven’t seen her in a while and then we walked over to a park to see Don and then we went over to the Roots to help her with a project she had going on.  Then we had dinner there and then we went over to see this guy Steve. Tyler Root came with us! He’s a priest in our ward and then we went to basketball and then we came home. Basketball was fun.  Marcus always comes and he’s the 16 year old of the Foils family.

THURSDAY- I’m 9 months out today!! We did studies and then we weekly planned for about 3 hours and then we went and saw sister Shellman and that went well.  She’s a less active and she told us she’d like to have us over for dinner sometime.  Then we went to chick fil a for a dinner appointment and then we went and saw a less active and then we went and left William a note and some Campbell chicken soup. He hurt his back pulling some trees and then we came home.

FRIDAY- It started out rough in the morning, but after that we went to Arlene Morgans and helped her move some boxes and then we showed her the Easter message and then we talked with her about coming back to church.  She said she would so yay.  She also gave me an Alabama license plate!! Then we left and went to try to see a less active but instead we saw a member.  It was his mom and we showed her the Easter message and then we left. Then we tried to go see this guy Joe but he wasn’t home but his wife was and she said we could come back next week so that was good.  Then we went home and went to dinner with some members to Ruby Tuesday.  We talked with them, shared a message and then we went to see the Foils but they weren't home so we tried to go see Eric but he wasn't home so we went home that night.

SATURDAY- It started out rough in the morning and we called our investigator Myli and she told us we could come over at 10. She lives a little far out and so we got Hunter to come out with us. I love where she lives! It reminds me of the cabin! Anyways we taught her about weaknesses and then we left and we took Hunter to Taco Bell and bought him some lunch.  We all got the triple double crunch wrap and I liked it. Then after he dropped us off we went and tried to see Mandy but she was mowing and she said come back tomorrow. I even offered to mow the lawn but she declined the offer! WHAT THE HECK! Lol. Then we went and saw the Foils for a while.  We played bball with them and I told Marcus earlier if he reads 3 pages out of the Book of Mormon I would show him my webbed feet.  So he did and I showed him and his reaction was priceless! It was so funny.  They also said they would come to church. Then we left and went to our dinner appointment at the bishops and we had a potato bar. It was so good then we went to see Steve and committed him to come to church.  He said he would, and then we came in.

SUNDAY- so today was really exciting. We had the greatest Priesthood executive committee meeting.  After we shared our weekly report, bishop looked at us and said job well done elders! Then we waited for the Foils family and they came! Not just 2 of them but the whole family! 10 people! Me and Elder Ratigan were asked to bear our testimonies on faith in Jesus Christ and Repentance, and then the Foils left after sacrament meeting.  Then we went to the rest of church and everyone was asking us about the family of 10. Then we got Hunter to come out with us sometime this week plus Brandon Lee to come out. Then we went with Bro Swenson to see a less active and she said I could mow her lawn one of these days! I’m so excited! Lol!  Then we went home and had a short lunch and then tried to go see Don but he wasn’t there.  His 19 year old kid and wife were there and so we talked with them and then we left and we rode back home and we went with a member to give a blessing to Arlene Morgan.  She was going in for surgery the next day and so I gave her consecrated oil and Elder Ratigan gave the blessing and then we went to Bro Hollinseads home and he offered us dinner and so we talked with their family and one of their daughters is named Ashlen. The same sound as Ashlyn but just an e instead of a y. So then we shared a message and then we left for the night.

MONDAY- We got up and planned and did personal study and then we came to the church. We have a new zl now and his name is Elder Lee. He is awesome.  He’s from Arizona. He’s been out for 22 months. We went to lunch with some Byrd springs members.  It was so good, we went to a deli. We are going to leave after emailing and play tennis.

I think we are going to the Roots for Easter. THE TEMPLE TRIP IS ON WEDNESDAY. The weather has been warm and sunny.  The storm didn't hit us on Wednesday, it was just windy.

Well mom I’m getting rushed to go out so thank you and I pray for you daily!

Hi mom!!!!

I’m doing great this week. Me and Elder Ratigan are so excited to serve together again. Everything has been awesome. Here’s the week. It’s short because we don’t have that much time.

MONDAY- After we got done emailing we went back to the apartment and it was raining and we were deciding if we should go to the Foils tonight because we needed to talk but we had some appointments.  So we prayed together and we got calls from the other appointments and they cancelled on us and so we were like ok we can go over to the Foils now.  So we decided to walk in the rain because Jennifer (the mom) doesn't like us walking in the rain or biking. So we decided to go walking in front of her house and she pulled up and asked where’s your bikes and we told her we were walking.  She’s like you guys can come have dinner here so we spent the rest of the night there and cleaned up some stuff with them and now we are going to continue teaching them. So it was a miracle. Then we went home. 

TUESDAY- Today we started cleaning the old apartment and getting it ready for Elder Mason to sell it and then after that we went to district meeting with the zls and it went well.  We had the Scottsburo Elders there and then we went to lunch over at Arbys.  Then we went and cleaned the apartment more and made sure it was good and then we went over to see this guy William but he wasn't home.  We went to a dinner appointment and then we went home and apparently the 2 people that signed up for team ups couldn't do it that night so we just cleaned and finished the apartment.

WEDNESDAY- Today we got up in the morning and just went over to the apartment and just checked a few things and then Elder Mason came and we moved stuff out and put stuff in a trailer and cleared the apartment.  Afterwards we went over to Subway and had lunch there and talked with them and then we went home and tried to see this guy Joe but he wasn't home.  We tried to go see some more people but they weren't home so we went back and went to basketball and had some investigators come to that. Then we went home. 

THURSDAY- Today we got up and started doing studies and then we went and played basketball with Chris.  We had a fun time then had a quick lesson with him.  Then we went and did weekly planning till 4 and then we went out. We tried to follow up with some people but they weren't home so we went to our dinner appointment and then we went and saw the Foils and then we went home and did area book. 

FRIDAY- Today we went and pulled this guy’s weeds and then we went home and changed and went out for the day.  We went and saw some people from the area book and then we came home and went to our dinner appointment and then we went and saw Eric and then we went home. 

SATURDAY- We went to the church with Brother Smithson and then watched the conference with Jennifer and her husband! THEY LOVED CONFERENCE! THEY TOLD THEIR KIDS ABOUT IT. Then we went and had a lunch break and then watched the other session and then we went to a dinner appointment and then we watched the priesthood session and then went home. I have 2 more conferences left!

SUNDAY- Watched conference all day until 4 and then we went to a dinner appointment and then we went out for the night.  We tried to follow up with some people and then we went home. We met someone who wrote the lyrics for George Straits song Blue Clear Sky. It was so cool.

MONDAY- the zls car was wrecked because while they were in a lesson, a 17 year old ran into their car. So we didn’t have a car so we went and I got a haircut and then we went and got groceries and then we went and had lunch with the zls and this guy Thomas.  Now we are emailing and then I don’t know what’s next. We are getting a ride back to our apartment by an awesome member. But sorry for the shortness. 

It’s just really rainy today but it’s warm. One zl is going home and the other is staying. We don’t have a dinner appointment till Friday this week. 

That’s so cool that Ash is on the cheer team! I’m praying for Tyler to win a game lol. 

We just got a text from Chris.  He’s a long time investigator and he just got off parole and so he can be baptized now! So we are really excited for that!! We are stoked! We will meet with him tomorrow to talk about when.
