Hi mom!

I forgot my camera and so I will send a pic from our hike today. I’ve been doing very well, this week was an ok week. It could've been better but it was just ok. Here’s the week.

TUESDAY- today was the first day in our new apartment.  We got up and went to district meeting and afterwards we went to chick fil a where we got our food paid for!! There were some people from the district leader’s area who were there and she paid for our food. Then we went to interviews with President Sainsbury.  It went well.  Just told him that it’s been great so far.  I told him it was a lot better than last transfer. Then we left and went to the zls apartment and they changed and then they took us back to our apartment and then we just moved some stuff into the new apartment and then we went on splits. I went with Brandon Lee. He’s preparing to go on a mission and he’s going out with us a lot more.  So we went to see this guy William and we had a great lesson about the Plan of Salvation and Restoration. Then we tried to go follow up with some people but they weren't there. So we came back and moved the rest of our stuff over. That was the day

WEDNESDAY- Today we got up this morning and did personal and comp study and then we went and played basketball with our investigator Chris.  It was fun and then we went and moved a little more of our stuff over and then we went and helped this new investigator Joe with a fence he was working on. It was pretty small so no big deal. Then we taught him the restoration and he said we could come back so we are now seeing him. Then we went home and took showers and then did comp study and then we went and taught this guy Cameron and it was pretty quick because we had a dinner appointment in 15 min.  We rode back home and went to basically the best dinner I’ve had. It was with Brother Messervy and Sister Rabuck.  They told us stories about their life, such as brother Messervy met Thomas S Monson on his mission.  It was a long story but let’s just say he taught his sister. It was just awesome. They gave us some food also to take home. After the appointment we went and had Brandon Lee pick us up and go over to basketball that night. We had an investigator come and it was so fun. I think I scored 27 points in the game. (Not to brag) then we went home for the night.

THURSDAY- Today was a good day.  In the morning we did weekly planning and then we went out at 4 because planning took a long time. We tried to see some people but they weren’t home, but we scheduled 2 church tours for Saturday so we were pumped about that. Then we went over to the Coxs for dinner and they made sloppy joes and then we went and saw Sister Hollander and apparently I might be related to her, lol.  Then we went over to Arlene Morgans and talked with her for a bit. Then we walked back and were picked up by the Sparkman elders and they gave us their car for a dr appointment up in Birmingham for Elder Ratigan.  Then we came home for the night.

FRIDAY- Today we started our journey up to Hoover and we had the appointment and then we went to Subway to meet up with the APs and then we went to the mall for a bit.  We went to the mission office to grab a white handbook for Elder Ratigan and then we started our way back home.  It took us 2 hours to get home.  We picked up Sparkman and then we went home and said goodbye to them and then we went and saw Eric and William and they’re doing great right now. Then we talked to some people and then we went home and started the area book plus giving referrals to people. That was the day.

SATURDAY- Today was a busy day.  We went and helped Carolina Coats move out of her house. We filled up a pod with her furniture and stuff. We didn’t get everything in and so she ordered another pod and its coming Monday.  So we left and went back to the apartment and then we went and did personal study and comp study and then we went with Seth over to the church and we waited for the 2 investigators to get here to give them a tour. 1 only showed up. It was William and we gave him the tour and testified about things and then we invited him to go to a baptism tonight that the zls were doing and he said yes. So we went to the baptism and after he said he really liked it. He’s just awesome. Then we went home and biked in the rain and saw one guy and then we biked home and we were soaked.

SUNDAY- Today was a slow kinda day.  We went and met up with our ward mission leader and then we had a great ward council meeting.  We are doing this thing in our ward called the 40 day fast where the members select a day to fast for missionary work and its going well!! Then we went on with church, it was so long. Then after church we went home and had lunch/dinner and then we went and saw Joe on his way out the door and then we tried to see Nick.  He wasn’t home so we tried to follow up/drop people and we went and saw 2 people that we dropped. The first guy is like I’m tired don’t come back and the 2nd guy was just drunk and he was just not interested at all. I got so pissed with him when he turned to me and I was silent because of how mad I was and he’s like "Why aren’t you talking? Is it because you have to do this?' and I told him, No, I’m out here because there’s a God that loves me. And that there is a devil. Then we left. I was just mad at him because he swore at us the whole time. Then we went home.

Monday- we went on a zone hike this morning and then we came here. We don’t really have anything tonight. There’s a big storm tonight.

No I am not sad that I didn’t get to go to Ariana Grande. Lol I’d rather go to a George Strait concert. Yeah I am liking Huntsville better, it’s like Utah here just without the mountains.  Elder Ratigan has been out for 15 months and he says it feels weird to say that. He goes home in January of 2018. My time here is going by fast.  I was talking with elder Fotu today and he can’t believe it either. It’s good and sad at the same time.

We are planning on having 2 investigators come with us to church and watch conference.

When I come back we are going camping alright? Lol.

I feel nervous and excited about talking to you on Mother’s Day but I’m ready to talk to yall.

Well mom I better go. I hope you have a great week and I will text sister root about transfers. We are most likely staying but who knows.

HEY MOM!!!!!

This week was so fun and very successful! Zone conference was awesome.  It was mainly about member referrals. It’s been a really cold week. Here’s the week. 

MONDAY- After we left the church we went and played pool at the apartment next to the church. Then we went to the Foils later that night and had a great lesson on prayer. The spirit was there and everything! Then we had a dinner appointment and we went to the Boot with the Hicks. The pizza was good and the Hicks are so cool. They remind me of home because they are so into country stuff!!!! Then we went home because they live 30 min away and they told us not to have anything else planned. 

TUESDAY- Today was one of the great days but it was very cold here. I about froze my face off! Lol. While we were going to a less actives home we stopped by this guy named Nick and he was so cool.  We taught him the restoration and gave him a Book of Mormon. He said he would read it. Then we went and tried to see the less active but she wasn’t home and so we went to this complex and tried to find 2 area book people but they weren't home.  So we were getting back on the bikes and we had someone come and tell us to leave the property. We were leaving anyway and he was like why yall in here anyway. Well of course we have people to see, but we already saw them so we went and tried to follow up with some people but they weren't home so we went home for a bit to get warm and then we went and taught Eric. We had a great restoration lesson with him, the spirit was there as always.  He accepted a soft bap date for the 22nd of April. Later that night we went on splits and I went with this guy Seth Layton. He’s so awesome.  We tried first to see some investigators but they weren’t home until we went to this guy Patrick’s home and he let us in.  We taught the Restoration and Seth was awesome.  Patrick said he would read the book but he’s got a problem with Joseph Smith. We will work with him on that. After we went home we had a split review and Seth said this about me with the lesson with Patrick. Elder Webb is awesome.  He made that experience like it was home.  He did so well helping Patrick have fun instead of being nervous. I loved going with him tonight. Then we finished and they left. I thought that was awesome. 

WEDNESDAY- Today we had Zone conference and we went with the Monte Sano elders. Let me just say this, I’m glad we made it there alive. Like wow the guy that was driving almost gave me a heart attack. But anyways we got to the conference and we had a Mexican lunch. It was good even though I don’t like Mexican food. Then we finished the conference and I’m glad we made it home. Then we went and had our dinner appointment at the Mcgonigals and it was nice but at the same time weird.  Then he took us home and we headed over to the Foils family and when we got there Marcus asked us are yall going to bball tonight at the church? (the elders quorum has basketball on Wednesday nights and I told Marcus on Monday about it) and we said that we weren't planning on it but if you want to go we will go. So we went to basketball that night and he loved it.  He wants to go this week!! Then we ended the night. 

THURSDAY- HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!  Today we tried to see this person Whitney that said we could come back but she wasn’t there so we went and did weekly planning.  We did that for 3 hours and we didn’t even finish we had so much more stuff to talk about with our investigators.  Then we went over to the Reeves and had dinner there and then we did some area book stuff and we didn’t have any success.  But on the way home we met this guy Jadarious and invited him to play ball at the church and then to see if he’d like to hear a message. He said yes to both!!!! Then we went home and the Sparkman elders were here for the Blitz we are doing the next day. We played some card games then went to bed. 

FRIDAY- Today started out great.  We got up and got ready for the day, had some lunch and then went out for the day.  I went with this guy Elder Linstrom. He came out with me. (He was comps with Elder Redd) And we tried to go see so many people but they weren't home and so the day was a bust but we still had fun with it and talked a lot. Then we ended the blitz by going and having dinner at the Mckays.  The food was good, I can’t remember what it was but then we left and went and saw Eric and then we came in for the night. 

SATURDAY- Today was a great day, it was a service day.  We went and saw and helped this guy Don we met last Saturday.  He is building a greenhouse and he needed help and so while we helped him we taught him the restoration and then we left and went and saw this guy Christian. He was awesome.  We taught him the restoration and then we left and just tried to find some service opportunities but there wasn't any. Then we went home and met this guy from Nigeria. We helped him with his car and then we had to go help a member move a waterbed.  Boy was that fun NOT!! The thing was so heavy. Then we went to our dinner appointment at the Roots and then we went home and started moving stuff into a different apartment.  Yeah that’s right, we are moving into another apartment. It’s a lot nicer. The lease on the one we are in now expires next month and the other one that the church owns is not going to expire till July. It was the old sister’s apartment. Instead of 402 it will be 309. It’s in the same apartment complex, just a different apartment. The pictures are of the new apartment.

SUNDAY- Today was a great day.  We had some really good meetings before church.  Our investigators never came but we had a great time in church. Then after church we went home and went to our dinner appointment with the Kriegers (photo below) then we went and tried to see this person Char but she wasn't home so we went and saw this guy named Don.  He’s a little creepy but he’s an awesome guy. We taught him a little about the restoration and the plan of salvation and then we went home because that took an hour. 

MONDAY- We got up and started moving stuff into the other apartment and then we came here with the zls and at 12 we are going with the zls to play disc golf with Seth and his friend. It’s like golf but you use discs instead. If you look it up you’ll find out what it is. Tonight we have a dinner appointment with the Smithson's and we are seeing the Foils tonight. 

Oh boy ash is on the road........................ I think she’s gonna do just fine. I’m pretty jealous of the new mower, it looks pretty nice.

Hi Mom!!!!!

My week has been alot better than the last.  We have so many new investigators and we are getting along so well. We have zone conference this week and yes I’ve been feeling better. Here’s the week. Did you and dad ever get the birthday cards that I sent on Wednesday last week?

MONDAY- So after we got done emailing we went to Wendys and had lunch there with the zls and then we went and played pool at that apartment complex and then we were planning on going over to the Foils home (family of 10) but they cancelled so we went store contacting and I got some stuff there and then we came home because I had a headache again. 

TUESDAY- Today started off rough because we were both sick and we woke up a little late, but that morning we had district meeting. It was fun.  We had some great training's and some great icebreakers (activity's) and we had some great brownies lol. After district meeting the zls had to go so we went to lunch with our district leader and his comp. We went to this place called Wings and let me just tell you those were the best wings I’ve had yet. Then as soon as we were leaving, it started raining so hard so we ran out to the car and started driving back to Weatherly. It rained the whole 20 min and we were dropped off at Breannas house so we could talk with her. We talked with her about the temple and stuff like that. After an hour and a half we went home and biked to our dinner appointment and it was so fancy, like wow. Everything looked so nice and I was gonna take some pics but I only got a pic of a cake we had. Sorry. Then after we left we went back to the apartments and we went on splits and I went with Brother Hearne.  Out of all the people we went and tried to see we only saw one less active. Then we came home and ended the night with some area book work. It’s the work and progress of the investigators of that area. Past investigators and present investigators. 

WEDNESDAY- this morning was the same as usual, we were both sick and so since we were sick we did some area book work and then we went out at 2. It was a rough morning and then we tried to see some people out of the area book but we never found one so we went to our dinner appointment and they took us over to this place called Lawlers. It’s a BBQ place and I got some BBQ nachos and boy oh boy were they good. Elder Ratigan didn't think so but I did. Lol. Then they shared some mission experiences and then we left. We were dropped off and we went and tried to see one more area book person and they weren’t home so we went and knocked on another door and with that knock we taught the restoration to this guy named Kerry. He’s been searching for truth for a long time so we shared with him what we have and then committed him to read the Book of Mormon and he said "I will pray about Joseph Smith and the book". Then after that we went home.  We thought that was a great experience.  The spirit was present there. It was awesome! The problem is that his girlfriend is a Baptist and she’s trying to convert him. Lol. 

THURSDAY- Today we felt better in the morning and so we went and played basketball with an investigator named Chris.  He’s been taught for a long time by past missionaries and he will be baptized in June (some complications with parole). So after we played with him, we got some chairs and we were gonna teach him but he said he had to go to work so he left and we had lunch. Then we did weekly planning and then after we did that we went and helped a less active move some equipment around the house and then we taught her about the scriptures and that went well.  We left there and tried to go see this guy Danny but he wasn't home so we went home.  While we were waiting for Bro Hearne to pick us up for dinner I decided that for every dinner appointment I’m gonna get a picture with the members there. So we went to the Hearnes and we had taco salad and then had a lesson and then I got a pic with them and then we left and then we went and tried to see this area book person but they weren't home so we started talking with this one person and he wasn't interested and they said that there is someone moving in right now.  As soon as he said that, a U-Haul come around the corner. So we went and asked if he needed help (I didn't know him at first) and he looked at me and was like HEY WHATS UP WEBB! I was like who are you and he’s like I’m Eric remember? He was an investigator in Weatherly I met on my first day and me and elder Matthews taught him the restoration and we kept going by but he wasn’t there. It’s been almost 2 months since we saw him and so I talked with him and he’s like yall can come in and so we helped him move some stuff in and then I asked him if he still has his Book of Mormon we left him and he did! So we had a short lesson and then we left and went home for the night. Crazy how things happen. 

FRIDAY- today was great we had 2 solid lessons with these two people named Aubrey and Vicki. Then we had a dinner appointment with the Bishops parent and we had pork and rolls and stuff like that. Then we had a short lesson and then we took a pic and then we went and tried to see the Foils family but they weren't home.  We were walking back to Walmart and this guy stops us and tells us he’s homeless and that he’s from Tennessee and so we talked with him and said a prayer with him and then he was like I was in Walmart and everyone in there is so hateful and he points at me and says I saw you in there about 3 weeks ago and you just looked like you were someone that didn’t look hateful and looked happy and you had this glow to you. And so we talked with him for a bit then we left. When we went home I was like wow, someone noticed that. THAT’S AWESOME!! I don’t think I’m that great but apparently to him I was lol! 

SATURDAY- first of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!! Today was a great day we went out this morning and we were going to follow up with some people but that changed when we saw a U-Haul. So we went and asked if they needed any help and they didn’t so I decided to ask the next door neighbor.  He was building a greenhouse and so he said yeah if yall could so we helped him for about an hour and then we had to get home so he’s like yall need a ride you can put your bikes in the back and so he took us to Walmart and got his number and he said we could come back. Service softens stony souls. His name was Don and then we went home for lunch. And then we did comp study and after that we met with this guy Cameron and he’s interested so we taught him about the restoration and then we left and we went home to decide what we were gonna teach our dinner appointment. Then we went to the bishop’s home.  On the way Elder Ratigan took the wrong route and it was windy so he didn’t hear me whistle or stuff like that so we met up at a members home and funny thing is that the members dad was from Wetumpka and he was there!!!! He recognized me and I was so excited to see him then we left and went to bishops. We had ravioli and then we took a pic and then we left and we went to Walmart and found 2 people and 2 members there and then we left and went home to do area book work. 

SUNDAY- today was a long day we got up late because of daylight savings. We went to coordination and then we had ward council and that went well when we were talking about our investigators.  Then we had the best lesson about our Heavenly family in Gospel essentials. Then we had a great lesson in priesthood about how the daughters of god are so important to the plan of salvation. It was awesome and it gave me some tips lol. Then after church we went and followed up with people making sure they had their calendar’s set. And then we went and helped this member move some stuff off of the U-Haul and then we went home and that was the day.

MONDAY- we are emailing and basically staying at the church because the zls car is in the shop because their key slot has been funky and then gonna play basketball and tennis and bad mitten. We are going to dinner tonight at this place called the Boot with a member. We are going to see the Foils at 6 before then. We are going on exchanges on Friday also.

Yes send me Jason and Candice’s address and I will send a letter.  That’s awesome that their little girls pray for me every night. Lol, I feel loved. Tell Jason and Candice thanks!

Tell dad Happy Birthday!!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. HES A HUGE INSPIRATION!!!! Love him forever! 

This month was a bad month for money. Good thing is that the members are feeding us. Yes I still use my gps every day. I like the weather now because it’s not too cold or too hot. Dang, warmer weather up there than here? It says its 45 today but feels like 30.

I KNOW RIGHT! I WAS JUST THINKING OF HOW IT WAS A YEAR AGO I GOT MY CALL LIKE 2 DAYS AGO!
